Because of Smash Bros, I haven't been working on my game much until the last few days. I'm only now making the world map and next-town tiles, and I was lazy on the world map, obviously.

These first two screenshots aren't actually the town, but me testing out tiles to see how they look.

I'm going to have to re-make this background. Trees are far too small in the foreground.

Walkie shots look awesome, as always. The battle background would look better if you moved the entire thing up by a quarter of a screen. It looks odd when Ren's so close to the horizon. I am still in love your palette. It's odd, though, that the town trees are a different color than the world trees.

I don't see what any of this has to do with your girl issues.

I know how you feel man... I've been having girl issues too ever since I've been back in school... good to see you have at least, made progress with your relationship regardless (I like the first screenshot's shiny gate). I agree with Mog's comment about the horizon in the battle background.

GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR GIRL, MAN! My girl is like... 60 something percent done... I'm hoping by the middle of summer, she's like, 100% done! Raspberry!

This was on purpose, because I wanted to switch to a more cooler mood to make the new town different. I may end up using yellowish colors for another area, for example.

Not many people stick with one girl for their relationship, do they? They are with her for about a month, have a few dates, but then leave her unfinished at only 10%.

Why does your girl's world map have a save point? Neutral

It's a tatoo she got during her Senior Trip.

I've actually been a lot more satisfied with how my tiles have improved as of late, but even still I have a lot to add to the indoors.

Your graphics are looking really good, but the way the light comes in through the windows looks off-point.
Ren looks awfully small compared to everything else as well.

As for Ren being too small, that's because he's a 16 x 16 sprite against 20x20 tiles. Not something I feel like fixing instantly.

EDIT: Though I've been trying to minimize the effect in some tiles.

Graphics are good. But those enemys look gigantic compared to the heros
unless they are supposed to be giants.

Already addressed. You are one out of two people to notice, the other being me.

Most RPGs have disproportionately large enemies.

This is why they were gigantic at first, but then they didn't look very good compared to enemies that weren't disproportionately large.

Plus, the new sprites look a lot better, anyway.

Really? I think he is a bit too easy with the tactic required to defeat him.
