Just to clarify a few things...

The RPG I have posted ( Sapphire Flames ) is NOT my main project.
It is more of a side-project.

My main project is called Element, I'm going to get some screens and
maybe upload a demo soon, so if you hate it don't hold back, tell me why.
Same goes for if you love it!
Thanks.

When you begin the game, you will pick different things that branch of to other things to decide what your character will be like. The above screen
is the incomplete elemental selection.

When selecting your element (among other things) you will be given a brief drescription before you decide, as the above screen displays.

When posting images from ImageShack on this forum, use the direct link to the picture (it's the last link they give you, I think.) and place it in image tags like this:

Code:
[img]yourpicturesurl[/img]

We can then take advantage of the zoom feature that this forum has that allows you to enlarge pictures by clicking on them.

Welcome to the forums.

If you're willing to take criticism, then that is the first step to making a good game.

Thanks.

This is how my game's "character creation" system works...

-First, you pick holy, or unholy.

-After that, choose your element ( Fire, earth, water, or air )

-Then, pick pure-blooded, half-blood, or beast.

There are 24 different combinations.

If you need any screenshots, just ask! Happy

Can you describe what the character attributes do for a character?

Picking holy or unholy is simply a play of respect, using tags, I plan on
making it so that as holy, you get more respect. But being unholy isn't really
bad either.

The element is more or less, going to decide your general power.

Picking your bloodstream will determine some of everything, plus dependent on what your previous choices were, your character will look different.

example: holy, fire, pure-blood will produce a red ( for fire ) Knight (the
"holy" version of purebloods)

The system will also play a small role as to how the story progresses.

I count 24 choices. Or am I missing something?

Holy crap, I never knew you could do that. *tries it... and ends up making the first screenshot ridiculously huge by clicking it more than once*

Your right, Moogle1 there are 24, not 26.

can anyone tell me, on a scale of 1-10 what the quality of my graphics appears to be?

I might upload some more screens tomorrow.

The graphics look fine to me. The floor tile is griddy, but that may be fine given it's an artificial environment. However, since this is the character creation stuff and everything is basically an icon, it's pretty hard to tell. Perhaps you could show us some other graphics, like battle scenes or towns or what have you?

Ah, it's hard to be critical about your graphics because there isn't much to see, and they don't hurt the eyes. I just want to say that you can darken one half of the pillars slightly to give them better depth, and your floor tiles are clearly mirrored.

I'm not at home ( With my precious work ) so I can't post any screens right now. Thanks for the suggestion.
I'll darken one half of the pillars for more depth.
I'm glad my graphics don't hurt your eyes, either!

As to where I am...
I'm at my friend's house, teaching him how to use the ohr.
He will have a username soon. Just as you are with me, he wants you to be honest about his game!

I guess I'll opine here.

Your graphics are fine for what they are -- not fantastic, but passable nonetheless. You have a spelling mistake (fierce) and a punctuation mistake (the comma after fierce), which are a little distracting. I'm interested in seeing more of your game, since I like this sort of character choice.

If I had to recommend something to you graphically, it'd be to add more variety. The second screenshot shows exactly what I'm talking about: it's a big, empty screen of grey tiles.

Thanks, I've fixed the mistakes.

Hmm... It does look plain, but I've added a LOT since those two screens.
As soon as I can, I'll ( try to ) post new screens. Happy

My suggestion to go along with Moogle's:
1. Lower the size of the map and make the two power areas look more central; this will help players focus on them. Think about it: Is the player going to walk around in all of that space? If not, why is it there? Less is almost always more in map design if you ask me.
2. Either add some fancy borders to the edges of the floor or give the room an interesting shape (or both).
3. Add stars or something in the blank space surrounding the room.
