I know it's rather disappointing that I managed to miss my own bi-weekly schedule the first update after I announced it, so I made it a point to get my ass in gear and have something interesting to show on time.
Before I give the link, I want to state that this is a very rough prototype that needs some heavy revision. Think of it as a proof of concept. I haven't personally tested it under IE, but am pretty sure it won't work. Firefox and Safari display it rather nicely.

Double Click on any header or body content to edit it. You can add or delete sections and subsections at will.
Also, note the small handle to the left of each Header. You can use those handles to reorder sections on the fly.
There are some very obvious flaws that arise while playing around, but it's certainly a step in the right direction.
Regarding images, you'll notice the in-place editor actually has an Insert Image button that does not yet work. I'm still trying to decide how I want to handle this potential resource pool that is on-the-fly screenshot uploading. For instance, what happens if you delete/don't use the uploaded screenshot? I'm currently planning out a resource management tool.
Anyways, it's 3:30 AM and I need to get some sleep before work. As always, feedback is greatly appreciated.

Initially skeptical, I'm starting to like FCKeditor and this dynamic layout.
The user interface is coming along really well (and you apparently whipped it up fairly quickly in order to have something to show :P). But is there any backend yet? _________________ "It is so great it is insanely great." |

It indeed doesn't work with IE. If I double click a field twice then I get a memory access error which makes the whole IE crash. |

I'm using Internet Explorer. It worked just fine for me until I tried adding a third subsection, then it glitched up and I had to close the tab.
This looks to be a pretty good way of making reviews. If and when this is finished, I might start submitting some. _________________ "I didn't start the flame war;

I fixed up quite a bit of the IE functionality. The CSS doesn't display the page as nicely as I'd like. The Handles, for instance, are in the wrong place, and the header colors get screwed up when a subgroup contains more than 1 subsection.
As far as the movable content goes, things are very broken. The outer most sections are movable, but their background colors do not move with them. When compared to the look of Firefox and Safari, moving sections in IE looks pitiful. Furthermore, when you try to move any of the sub-sections, you move the highest parent instead. This means you can't re-organize subsections on the fly.
Basically, if you've only checked this out in IE, I strongly urge you fire up Firefox and see how it should really look and act.
The code needs a lot of work, but I really like the feel of it. Yes, Onlyoneinall, I agree the actual colors/layout needs plenty of work. What's nice about CSS, though, is once I get the functionality where I want it, it's purely look and feel. No more HTML or PHP changes required.
As I was telling TMC, this also means a much more customizable look and feel, if the users are willing to take the time to play around with CSS.
In this first phase, I'm utilizing the existing red theme to minimize the graphics/front-end changes and focus more attention on backend and functionality. Once I get the pages usable, we (meaning I'll definitely want user input and guidance here) can get the look and feel of the site updated.
To answer TMC's question regarding backend support, I first needed to figure out just how far I could push the web browsers to implement my ideas before I designed a backend. A backend set up to facilitate fully customizable user content doesn't make sense if I can't provide a page that the user can fully customize. Furthermore, if the page can be partially customizable, I need to know what the limiting factors are and design the backend accordingly. Right now, I still am not entirely sure how I want to handle images. The FCE text editor allows for simple uploading to a directory with random file names, but I'd really like a much more advanced system that actually knows which reviews are using which screenshots, etc. Originally, I was planning on having an "Add Image" link just like you have the "Add Section" link. I would then treat an image as though it were it's own separate section. While this "works", I really feel it is a poor man's solution to truly dynamic review content and hope to find a better way.
Thanks for the comments.
