Last night, November 22 2007, I finally finished the critically-acclaimed Resident Evil 4. Yeah, I know. A lot of you had, but it was just a week ago since I had my hands on that game.
And I have to say that the ending sucks. No plot twist, no major confrontation. Nothing. It was just your typical Resident Evil ending. I don't want to post spoilers, but if you played Resident Evil 3, you know what I'm talking about. A big boom, then it's happily ever after. A shame for a game which seemed at first to be preparing itself for a grand finale. I love the ending credits, though. It was simple, yet it a bit nostalgic. _________________ The man who smiles when things go wrong has thought of someone to blame it on.

EVERYTHING after the village was pretty typical. It went from a nasty farming village, with dirty villagers having an unknown reason to wanting to kill you, to a non-scary castle with rather clean looking cultists. It went from being scary and nerve racking, to just moderately jumpy. I'll give them props for some of the monsters, though, but the bosses were just.. blah.
The ending was expected, but I supposed if they did end it in a huge confrontation, again, then there wouldn't be reason for another RE (I mean, how many deaths can that guy really take?) _________________

Speaking of monster, I just have to say that the final boss was way too easy for my abilities (and probably for almost all people's). Though I have to give them props on the lake boss, which was quite not your typical boss fight. _________________ The man who smiles when things go wrong has thought of someone to blame it on.

Lake boss was sweet. I liked the game up until the 2nd disc (gamecube version), where you got to the military base. It seemed downhill from there...I mean, military zombies? Come one, you can think of something better.
ALTHOUGH
The archeology site was sweet, and the mine cart ride was amazing. Despite me hating the enemies, I still loved playing the thing all the way until the end.
And yes, that final boss is super easy. _________________ But enough talk, have at you! |
