I'm hoping in October, I'll be able to release version 0.6 of my game. Chances are I won't, but since I'm at about the 50% mark, I MAY be able to complete 60% by Halloween.
This is an update on some of the things I'm working on, added, or am improving:
* More graphical variety in most areas
* In the streets, you now speed through the straightforward part like in Sword of Jade. This means you pass by irrelevant areas while maintaining an idea of the game environment size. It's basically so people don't get bored having to make long treks across the streets.
* Still working on improving cutscenes to be more realistic
* Usage of layers! I've taken advantage of this wonderful feature to add fog to one of the dungeons.
* Difficulty settings. Plus on your save files, it has an indicator that tells you what difficulty setting that file has been playing on.
At this point in time, I've finished the city maps (but have not added story events, enemies, and finished its locations), which pretty means I'm pretty much set to finish up. I'm hoping to have this game ready for final release by the end of this year, but chances are it'll be early next year if I'm diligent, but most likely summer of 08, since this game gets lots of work done during my breaks from college. I may release 0.5 for RMZ's Halloween contest. I will update with screenshots once I have finished graphical updates.
Also thanks to Surlaw's review of my game back in Hamsterspeak #2, as I'm using that as my main reference for what to work on. _________________ http://www.castleparadox.com/gamelist-display.php?game=750 Bloodlust Demo 1.00

This was your Silent Hill-esque Horror game, right? If so, then I'll definitely await for the update so I can finish the game (I was playing it on the laptop that tends to overheat, but now I'll play it on a more stable computer). _________________

I'll ask when time comes for playtesters.

Yes it is. I suggest when I do release the next release to start anew so the game works appropriately to the difficulty settings. If you've only gotten to the elementary school, it won't be as much of a hassle as I mentioned that you now speed through the streets through unimportant parts (and there is now a map for the school). Hope that won't be a problem.
For your laptop, I suggest you get a USB cooler fan. I JUST busted mine because the cord of the laptop got caught on a doorknob and cracked the usb port to which I screamed 'FUCK' and showed my uncontrollable rage by unscrewing the doorknob and tossing it away. But I suggest you get one to help it overheat less. (Oh wait, it still works! I just busted the LAPTOP's usb port..... FUCK.)
Also as a tip, be very careful with your cord when carrying it around, even short distances! Motorcycle accidents most often happen in short trips from your house to somewhere close by, and laptop accidents are no exception. ;;

That is a good idea, although I doubt it'll come into fruitition since the laptop isn't a high priority device in this house. _________________
