Some of the shadows are off.

The layer effect on the ropes looks nice, though, as do the sprites.

Mostly because I'm trying not to waste too many tile until I know I have everything I need.

Thanks. The top and bottom rope tiles are actually the same tiles, but I am having trouble making the ropes going across the bridge look good and line up with the top/bottom rope tiles.

Ah, that's it. Thank you.

But I also find the the dirt tile to be a bit unsettling.
It might look better if you replaced that brown with another shade of...what do you call this...aha!, Copper?

Are you talking about the floor tile? If so, I am intentionally keeping that pale tan color, because, even if it doesn't make sense at all, I hate the idea of having a really monotone color map that's just all copper.

If you're talking about the walls (which are made of dirt too, heh), then I can see where that may need improvement.
