I have deleted the previous post here re: changing game's title.
Well, here's a sample of what I revised about my game's tilesets.

I like! The style is wonderfully simple and remains the same through all elements. _________________ UP DOWN UP DOWN LEFT LEFT RIGHT RIGHT A B START |

When I first saw this journal I could have sworn it said "Title Revisions."
Anywho, ditto everything Me said. I like the simplicity. |

I think it looks nice as well; the only suggestion I can think of would be to make the grass in the doorway (cave?) get dark quicker, so that more of the doorway looks dark. I just think that part looks a little funny as it is now. |

Alright. Here's some updates for Golden Legend: The Envoy Of Ur :
a. Added some tilesets such as
- town interiors
- tower, and
- castle tilesets.
b. Created four npcs, and
c. Game progression rose up from 1% to 9.3%. Heheh... _________________ St. SeiyaRyu

Okay. So, this is me, St. Seiya-Ryu formerly known as the freakish RyuJinzo.
To Valigarmander:
Here's a shot of my pre-constructed map of a cave. Also take note of the hero's "makeover." Hehheh...
---------------------------
Game progression now rose up to 13.3% for I added two sets of maptiles made especially for a temple and waterfall map.
I'm now in a state of confusion... I am wondering which one is better: 1st person or side view or ala-FFXI battle mode? _________________

I don't think any 'view' is inherently 'better'. Unless you were planning on scripting a custom battle system for functionality purposes, I'd say it is not worth it to script it just for graphical purposes, and you should just stick with the OHR's side view. |

A side view, as in side-scroller, in the OHR are a horrble idea without a jump feature. It is no different than walking mindlessly in a single direction.
We actually have a few first-person tech demos (Reminescent of the Doom era). A can't find any of them, but I have yet to see a successfully good looking one made for the OHR.
And I have no idea what you mean by an FFXI battle mode.

Hmm, I was assuming that St. Ryuwhatever meant that he was using RPG style battles, and was asking about the viewpoint of such a battle. This is because, from the screenshots he has shown, it looks like he's making an RPG. But I could be wrong. Could you expand a bit on what you are asking for, St.?
PS: The browser is not currently showing the 'topic review', and I can't remember your name precisely. Sorry. |
