In an older thread on cp-games, I had asked people who they thought would make good judges/contestants in the next Walrus Chef game. Unfortunately, the retarded FORUM HACKER LOL business came about and I lost the information I'd gathered in that thread. So, once again, I am asking who you think should appear in the game.

I won't put in everyone who is requested. I doubt I'll use even 10% of your suggestions. I am doing this because I know a minority of you have awesome ideas, and also because it will encourage me to get working on the game.

The interface for the sequel will be mouse based. There will be more than one town, more judges, more contestants, and playable characters other than Super Walrus Man. You will no longer choose your costume at the start of the game. You will start off normal and be able to buy costumes at certain stores.

The game will possibly be Walthros Chef, rather than Walrus Chef 2. I love the Walrus Man, but I want to write different characters. Also, Yuk Deluxe making dinner for Zeus is pretty funny.

I stand behind Simon and Garfunkel, but Luke Perry would be great as well.

I don't want to include too many regular human characters, but Garfunkel is a must.

Snorlax from Pokemon, maybe a few OHR cameos, and Chewbacca?

Yes, except instead of Snorlax and Chewbacca, Jabba the Hut.

A robot of some kind. How about Bender? While I think of it, Zoidberg will be better.

Zoidberg will certainly be in it, since I can just reuse his sprite from my last game. Bender would be pretty easy too, and would work better as a contestant than a judge.

Jabba the Hutt needs to appear, since I love him and have featured bad MS-Paint images of him in other games.

Snorlax doesn't turn me on as much as Mr. The Hutt. Chewbacca would be better.

The only OHR character I'd want to include other than my own would be Bob the Hamster.

It's kind of hard to suggest characters for this. I mean, it seems like anything that exists is a possible judge or contestant. But some good ideas might be...

Star Trek characters (since you've already got Star Wars), Bubble Bobble characters, Mario 2 characters (it has the best monsters in the whole series, I think), and maybe Dragon Warrior characters since you've already got the slimes.

I was just playing Walrus Chef tonight (it's a lot of fun, by the way, more than I had remembered), and I was curious about something: how do you determine the opponent's score? Do they actually select ingredients and is the score based on that, or is it just a random number within a certain range? And if they select ingredients, is that random or do they choose more intelligently?

And related to that, I was thinking about ways that the opponents could be distinct from eachother in more ways than just one opponent being harder or easier than another. One way is for certain cooks to be better at cooking for certain judges. Like, maybe Gollum is very likely to make a meal that Spiderman will like, but will very likely make a meal that Starman will dislike. Another way would be for an opponent to be more likely to cook with one ingredient than with another, which would also make them better suited for certain judges. I dunno if anything like that existed in Walrus Chef, but it could make the "battles" more interesting.

Opponent scores are indeed just random numbers along a certain range. I'd planned to make them exactly as you suggested, but I ran out of time since I wanted the game out before the contest deadline. The next edition will use a more diverse formula.

The suggestion I made on Crystaline Productions: Making someone cry to harvest their tears as a sort of salty ingredient could be amusing.

How about an ingredient called "Scratch" that noone knows what the hell it is, but somehow makes things taste better?
MMs, because you run out of pappricca...
And shall we not forget the diamond vail of LSD ( a secret item)?
