Hi! I was thinking that there are no place to discuss about midi creation.
Now that the ohr game maker and player engine support midi music I think it may be a good idea to create some.
Midi creation is something rather specific music maker may enjoy a place where can chat about how to make some. Anyway midi files are easier to find that bam file on the net but I think it is important to create in game making.
Anyway feel free to take this as a suggestion and not to make if you don't feel it necessary! |

Technically, BAMTastic is the music forum. It was called BAMtastic because, at the time, the sole supported format was BAM. We could change the BAMtastic name, if anyone can think of something clever. I'd rather not separate music discussion across multiple boards.

As I'm not yet a music composer I didn't noticed that music composer were posting also about midis and midi programms.
Anyway as Bamtastic IS the place to discuss music there is not reason to change that.

In all honesty, I don't think it was a stupid question. The board name lends itself towards BAM only discussion. The confusion is hopefully cleared up via the board description, but I wouldn't be opposed to a name change if a wittier name is mentioned.

Well what about renaming the bam tastic forum into music tastic forum??
I was also thinking that there are no place for spanish speaker and as
some members speaks both Spanish and English wouldn't it be a good idea to create a place where Ohr Gamers who speak only this tongue could also join in and share their idea and plotscript code???
As I can speak spanish, I would be glad to help if needed. |

Creating a seperate forum for spanish speakers seems a tad bit unnecessary, as every one of us apparently speaks english.
I'm also of the mind that there's no need to change BAMtastic to anything else. Anyone around here who would even get the meaning of BAM in the name, probably has been around long enough to read the forum's description.
