Not that I was ever really out of the game, but since school is coming to a close and I finally picked a college, I can start working in the OHR a bit more than I have.

So here we have my ugly battle sprites. I just made these and it's 2:00 in the morning, so it took about an hour and a half to make them (and now I have to animate... one of my weakest points.) Please leave some comments. (Just note that I know that Nericke has an ear while everyone else doesn't. I'll fix that later.)

Nericke:

A sailor of the seas, the loner Nericke sails along, taking odd jobs as necessary. He is a very closed shell, and talks to himself on his ship when he is alone.

Marsuit:

A tough-as-nails pirate with a grip of the seas. Practically born to master the seas, he navigates ships with finesse, something that his demeanor would normally not allow.

Verizen:

The business-man who needs to get where he's going. Period.

Nali:

The tree and flower watcher. She finds the most complex beauty in the simplest of things.

Lorinda:

A girl who is strucken with amnesia.

So far, these are all the graphics I have. I wanted to ask opinions about the standing frame before I started animating.

Edit: I have no idea why BBCode isn't working. Following the Link works, but if you want to zoom in, you're sunk. Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong?

Edit: Inferior Minion: I updated BBCode to include .bmp images as pictures. Everything should work now

zooming in works fine over here.

somehow i didn't even noticed that extra ear there, personally i think they'd look better without.

the feet look a little wierd and don't really work. maybe if you make the bottom a little more flat?

marsuit looks a bit strange, like his chest is poofed out more than the others. i'm sure it was meant to look like that, but it looks strange.

the way nali's hair ends in the front, looks as if it would be a tube. trying making it smaller, and ending it with two black pixels on the end (like lorindas in a way).

otherwise, everything looks nice. i like nericke's hair.

Why is Marsuit wearing shoulder pads but no shirt? Kind of weirds me out.

Anyways, the feet seem....odd, but other than that it looks pretty good.

Ok, no. I too thought I'd have free time in college, but boy was I wrong. HAHA! For the first couple week, I did, maybe... But then I got a job. Sad...

Small update here:

Fixed Nericke's and Marsuit's "bones"

Lowered Nali's hair.

Fixed Marsuit's hair.

Added shadow to Lorinda.

I have absoulutely no idea what to do with the feet. I'm always horrible with them, so I just took what FF6 did. I'll see what I can do to make them work.
