All Chinese and Japanese influences! The characters in your party will be a Sumo wrestler (the tank), a Geisha (the healer) a samurai (need I say?) and a Ninja (Duh!) Even the font will be japanese, down to the last Un! What do you think? I'll even throw in a translation guide, all the phrases that will be used, for you to apply to the game! Well? Innovative enough for you?

That's not innovative at all.

Who before has tried this on the OHR? I haven't been here long, so I may have missed it. I meant on this platform... but I don't know if it has been done in japanese...

That's a very suspicious definition of innovative. By that definition, my Super Mario Bros clone is innovative. (Hint: It isn't.)

Why do you think I said hopefully? Also, it kis to help my Japanese writing skills, as I have started to learn the language, it's a self- education tool, so I didn't really care about innovation. Japanese is my third language, the majority of games that use it is because it is their first. Duh!

Well, Moogs gave you your answer. It's nothing new, but it certainly would be something rare. The only other OHR game that has Samurais, Ninjas, etc. I think, is RPG Spot's "Winterfold: Revenge of the samurai". ...What else?

There you go. I suppose that would count.

I don't quite see how it's that great of an idea. A White Mage is a White Mage, regardless of whether you call her "White Mage", "Geisha" (Which is technically a servant, so I guess that's close to a healer) or "Cumbucket". Unless you've got some kind of original idea related to the gameplay, I don't see how this is too much more terribly innovative than "Cowboys in Space".

Maybe some twists would help? Rolling Eyes

Make the Sumo wrestler have the ability to eat enemies, not a tank.

The geisha can seduce foes which just one stare, depending on her beauty points.

The samurai and the ninja? How can these two fight together?

Haha! Sumo being able to eat enemies! That's hilarious and would be interesting. Although, him just being able to eat enemies would sort of be silly and easy. He should have other attacks, like sumo slam and such. Like, maybe he can gain a random stat after eating someone, or gaining a specific stat for a specific monster. It could miss a lot, and almost never hit bosses, which would make it a challenge to use. Make lesser foes have less dodge, or something, which makes them easier to eat and Bosses and stronger enemies (humanoids and what not) have more of the stat, making them harder to eat. 'Don't want battles to just be dinner time. You could call him Taberuzo or something. Ha ha ha!

Samurai could be like, the starter with some sort of charge attack, and ninja finishes the enemies off with stealth attacks, which take longer to execute.

Seducing the enemy would paralyze/stun them, right? That's what you are going for, right? beauty points? Do you mean, like, a stat called charisma? It could also go off of how much aim (call it prowes, or something) she has, maybe.

Renaming character archetypes does not an original game make.
