This is a fun little game I've seen on various forums. I'm putting it here because there's nowhere on the forums for it.

If you've played MTG, you know everything you need to know to play Vanishing Three-Card Blind. To participate, all you have to do is PM me your three-card deck. The winner is the one with the most points.

Here are the rules. You start the game with all three cards in your hand. Normal rules of play apply; for example, you can only play one land per turn and you can't play cards without the required mana. You play each opponent twice: you go first once, he goes first the other time. A win is 3 points and a tie is 1 point.

Instead of actually playing the games, the results are determined by who would win. Perfect play is assumed. You have no libraries, so you can't win by decking. Any other form of victory is valid. All sets are available.

At the end of each round, the winner's deck is added to the ban list for the next round (exception: basic lands). If there is a tie, both winners' decks are banned. The game continues ad infinitum.

Here is a sample game.

Deck 1
Mishra's Workshop Ornithopter Energy Chamber

Deck 2
Blacker Lotus Energy Chamber Arcbound Slith

In this example, both decks get WL: Deck 1 wins if it goes first (because Ornithopter kills the Slith) and Deck 2 wins if it goes first (because the Ornithopter doesn't get a chance to power up).

I'll do round 1 when I get enough entries or in about a week. Until then, reply with any questions and PM me your decks

You used an Un-set card, ya dirty hippie! I may as well play Avatar of Me and claim to be one million feet tall and size one million shoes.

But yeah, I don't know enough about Magic loopholes to make effective 3-card comboes. I could go around stealing some, if you'd like.

Oh, right. Cards with random effects always work against you; cards with non-deterministic effects like "Avatar of Me" always assume the worst possible value.

In that case, your Blacker Lotus is already torn to pieces.

No, now that just doesn't make sense. You have the card intact in your hand. On the other hand, your Chaos Confetti will destroy all your cards and only your cards.

Now, see, you are making a HUGE mistake that Wizards themselves are against: you trying to make Un-sets legit. It'd save a LOT of time and brain if we could focus on your actual challenge instead of trying to define infinity and twisting rules so that the funniest cards ever become part of a test completely unrelated.

Meh.

This is how they have played 40+ rounds of the game on the MTG forums.

Okay, this game needs a jumpstart. I will fuel your brains by giving you an actual thread of people playing this game. Desperate players can look up the original thread and steal their first-round decks... meh.

Try this.

Of course, it could just be that no one is interested in playing...

No. It might win every time it goes first, but if it ended up getting first place in a given roun, both cards would be banned the next round. The game is kind of self-balancing.
