You know, depression isn't always about lifestyle. It is possible to have clinical depression, and if your brain just isn't making enough seratonin, you can't will yourself to hapiness anymore than you can will yourself out of a broken leg.
Perhaps you could talk to your psychiatrist about changing your medication? Prozac and Geodon aren't the only things out there. I know some people very close to me who have suffered from various mental problems like anxiety, depression, and manic-depression. For one friend in particular, it was a huge struggle to find something that worked, and a lot of the time the drugs made things worked, but when she finally found something that worked well (Wellbutrin), she was able to really start moving towards recovery. The other person I mentioned uses Zoloft, and that seems to work really well for her. The brain is a really complex organ and everyone responds differently to medication, but if your depression really is clinical, there are a lot of options out there and I think you would do well to take the time to find a medicine that really works for you. |

Girls are icky!
Pick up a freaking tennis racket and challenge random people if you really want to be happy!
Or...Pretty much anything that will release stress, anger, sorrow, and/or creativity.
If you've really convinced yourself that you need that one girl, then I suggest you find a way to impress her first.
I'm afraid that being a level 51 Dark Dragoon just doesn't go as far as it used to. _________________ Look back and you've already lost.

^ This man speaks truth. I know firsthand what depression feels like, and exiling yourself from others will only make it worse.
Depression is not a battle that can be fought. It's a problem that needs to be reconciled with, and the best way to do that: friends. |
