Title: Reverberation
Run Time: 2:08
Recommended: mp3 version

Planned Use: Theme of the Spring Cave.

Composer's Comments: A smooth piece that reflects on the eerie and mysterious, yet serene and gorgeous Spring Cave, where the waters of life flow. The bassline is fluctuating and somewhat ominous, hinting at the vile pollution of the water.

Run Time: 1:20 (loopable)
Recommended: mp3 version

Planned Use: Theme of General Mars.

Composer's Comments: The harpsichord and general English instrumentation was a natural choice for this uppity, cocky, wealthy Victorian-style villain. The tone changes midway into something far more evil-sounding, as if you can just sense the atrocities this character has committed.

Title: Puzzler
Run Time: 2:21 (loopable)
Recommended: MIDI version

Planned Use: Theme of a puzzle-based boss fight.

Composer's Comments: This piece is defined by its irregular tempo and percussive rhythm, which is intended to reflect the stereotypical image of "thinking" - gears and clockwork operating in the brain until it hits a peak, a "eureka moment", at which point the gears churn even faster.
An interesting aside, the melody (played out by the String Ensemble) was a product of a spontaneous and, admittedly, random thought process.

Title: Sandzone Theme D
Run Time: 1:28 (loopable)
Recommended: MIDI version

Planned Use: Theme of the Desert at Dusk.

Composer's Comments: The entire piece stems off of a very steady melody that loops easily, and is rare in that it sounds nice even despite being repetitive. The smooth guitar and airy whistle combine to form a peaceful, but admittedly somber, sound - quite appropriate given some of the tragic events that play out under the night sky in Viridia.

Title: Church Hymn
Run Time: 2:06 (loopable)
Recommended: Either format

Planned Use: Theme of the Church and Theme of a Holy Sister

Composer's Comments: As one might expect, this is heavy in chorus and organ sounds, which give it the serious, holy air befitting a church, but is accompanied by a glockenspiel that changes in tone. The lighter, more beautiful side of the Holy Sister is represented in this glockenspiel when it takes on a cheerful, almost bouncy tone, and yet her tragic tale is hinted at in quiet, dour intervals.

Title: Cavern Creepers
Run Time: 2:00
Recommended: Either format

Planned Use: Battle Theme in Caverns.

Composer's Comments: One of my earliest serious compositions, this one manages to retain a little charm in that it holds onto the cavern theme well and carries a decent beat. Unfortunately, it does not loop well, making long battles somewhat awkward.

Planned Use: Theme of the Desert in Mystery

Composer's Comments: Another desert theme - believe me, this isn't the last of them. This one in particular captures the idea of seriousness at the beginning, and mysteriousness and even divinity with the addition of the chorus, string ensemble, and ocarina near the end. It is actually the longest of the Sandzone Themes so far, and may end up being the main overworld theme.

Title: Dotola en Piano
Run Time: 2:27
Recommended: Either format

Planned Use: Undecided

Composer's Comments: This was originally going to be the theme of a dungeon called "Dotola" - hence the name - but that dungeon no longer exists and I'm unsure of how to use it. It seems to work well as a boss theme with the fluctuating tempo and style, starting off exciting, dulling down to a slower tune, becoming almost silent, then returning to fast-paced. User input would be greatly appreciated on this piece.

Title: Voice of Viridia (short)
Run Time: 1:27
Recommended: mp3 format

Planned Use: Theme of the Title Screen

Composer's Comments: This is a shortened, smoother version of what is most likely going to be the game's main theme, Voice of Viridia. It is intended to, very gently, draw in the player into a new world and begin the game's story. (This is in part because I hate games that bludgeon you over the head with an overly hyper title theme.)

Title: Quiet
Run Time: 2:06

Planned Use: Theme of a Town at Night, Theme of Tragedy

Composer's Comments: Gradually becoming one of my favorite pieces, this takes cues from various themes of silence and tragedy from other games - the rhythm is from "Is Anyone There?" of Mother 3 - and manages to form its own style of darkness.
Also, this is not to be confused with the same-name title arranged by Mike Caron.

Title: Sandzone Theme AE
Run Time: 2:50 (loopable)
Recommended: mp3 format

Planned Use: Theme of the Ro'To Wilds

Composer's Comments: This piece is one of the longest - just short of Voice of Viridia - I've ever composed, and it manages to avoid monotony with its dual melodies. As the name may suggest, this was a combination of the beat-heavy Sandzone Theme A and the mysterious (but incomplete) Sandzone Theme E. The first explorable Desert zone carries this theme, and it is quite large, so thank goodness this piece loops near-flawlessly.

Title: Rolling Drum
Run Time: 1:50

Planned Use: Battle theme

Composer's Comments: This piece was recently edited to include an accelerating melody. It is obviously based on "Accelerondo" from Mother 3, and it's frankly a spiffy idea in general that was not easy to pull off.
Will be used as a battle theme, possibly in a cave.

Composer's Comments: The retarded twin brother to "Rolling Drum," it uses a slower tempo and altered pitch.
In a complete paradox, every other movement actually sounds faster due to the reduced tempo. It's strange but catchy.

Planned Use: Dragon Boss Battle

Composer's Comments (from the original page):
"A little bit of a generic boss fight theme, but it has that frantic edge that would go well with a turn-based game, freaking out the player a little bit and pushing him/her to action despite the fact that it is a TURN-based battle."
