Quote:
Considered to be the most powerful freeware RPG maker. The system is more focused on making good games than on making games quickly (it comes with no graphics at all, for instance), and suffers from strict technical limits most closely resembling an NES game. However, it is substantially more flexible, and is focused on making challenging, interesting battles.
Some of these things aren't exactly true.

1) It's hard to decide that it's the most powerful. Change the statement to boast a powerful scripting engine, not powerful overall, because the engine still has limitations that limit power in other areas.

2) OHR is good for both making quality games and making games quickly. Contests churn out games quickly all the time, for example, and quality games can still be made.

3) Graphical limits make it resemble a 256 color DOS game (which is what the OHR IS), not an NES game.

4) It isn't solely focused on making challenging, interesting battles, but that is possible. Say "With a Final Fantasy style battle system that allows for complexity in battle design."

I think the summary reeks too much of what was recently said in Game Design Forums.

I have no option to edit my post in journals now?

Also, instead of saying "it comes with no graphics", say, "It is well known for the need for people to create their own graphics, allowing a display of different styles and unique identity for different games."

I believe it was said somewhere that James tried to mimic FFIV's general gameplay system?

Wait. Why is this discussion being posted on TV Tropes? I had never intended my post to be placed on there. My post was meant to be a list of suggestions for an edit to Raekuul, not telling TV Tropes themselves that I think the summary is dumb.

Now some guy I don't even know has argued against me. Why? Why does he want to do this? Darnit. It looks like I have to sign up for TV Tropes now.
