As it turns out, bi-weekly updates work better after you've developed a little bit of back-end support for navigation and whatnot. Hardcoding URLs and User Permissions does not make well for public demos.

I've actually made quite a bit of headway on the Project Management front, although it's still not playing 100% nice with IE but at least it's fully functional in both browsers.

My main focus has been game management and site navigation. Currently, you can add games with multiple team members. Each member will be able to edit the game. I have not yet implemented member removal, as I feel User Permissions would need to be implemented before then.

Yes, I am definitely planning on having user level permissions for each member of the project, although I have yet to determine how granular I want to go with that.

In the link below, you'll notice most of the left nav links do not work. You'll also notice you will need to log in to view my changes. Your current CP login should work, unless you recently signed up for CP. This code is running on top of a test Database created...well wow, almost a year ago (note to self: update testbed database).

If you can't log in and want to check out the new Project Management flow, you can register for the testbed here: http://www.castleparadox.com/phpBB3/

I am not going to disable the boards, as I'd like to give people a chance to play with the new phpBB3. Please note, this database and all its contents will be deleted upon release, so do not start using this board for discussion. Also, do not expect any "games" created using the new features to be persisted once this is launched.

I'm looking for feedback on the current flow and current options presented to you while creating a game. Are there options you feel are missing? Are there things you don't like? Any suggestion for improvement would be greatly appreciated.

Given I haven't created an index page yet, the easiest place of entry is http://www.castleparadox.com/testing/trunk/project.php?mode=manage

You will need to log in. Upon login, you can either click the "Return to previous page" link or wait a few seconds for the page to redirect you. You should be able to edit your games, Add Projects, Manage Projects, and view your game listings. None of the other links are functional yet.

My next project is screenshot management and file uploading.

Feedback is greatly appreciated.

After a couple of hours of segfaults and struggling, I finally managed to convert the latest CP database into the testbed. Right away TMC noticed some very major issues in the conversion process, particularly Pepsi Ranger's latest post (see Pepsi's original post for comparison).

Hopefully, like the seg faults, this is simply a memory usage issue and can be resolved easily. Losing half a post without any warning makes me really worried as to what other monstrosities are hidden in this newly created DB. I'll see if the phpBB support forum can help me resolve these conversion issues. In the meantime, all users should be in the testbed now.
