For some reason, I've been able to reply to journal posts lately, but not to forum posts.
There's no error message or anything that would indicate that something happened--it just sends me back to the "preview post" page every time I click "submit" instead of actually submitting it, even after I've seen the preview the first time.
Anyone having similar problems, or any idea what's causing this? |

If you make a post too quickly, it will send you back to the preview page.
You should only have to wait a few seconds before pressing submit to have your post accepted. |

TwinHamster is right. This is a spam-bot deterrent. It assumes it will take you more than 30 seconds to properly respond to a post. If you are still having issues after waiting more than 30 seconds, let me know.

Ah. Okay... I type pretty fast (fast enough that a quick one-sentence reply probably DOES take less than 30 seconds to type), so that's probably what's been messing me up.
I'll try waiting a little before clicking Submit; if it's still acting weird I'll post back here again.
EDIT: Nope, still can't get a post through--I waited almost a full minute after typing up a reply before clicking Submit the first time, but after clicking Submit again on the preview page it just loops back to the preview again.
Almost seems like it's doing the 30-second check on the preview page instead of on the original "Post Reply" page (or maybe it's doing it on both...) |

Given that I have found much more effective ways to prevent spam bots from posting, I have removed the code which throws you back to the preview page. Let me know if you still can't post a reply.
