Hey everyone, I'm hakkun, the co-producer of Perilous Plunge: lite, a Cecrops game. My partner, Mr. B, just announced that it exists, so I am going to just post some things about the production of it and fun stuff like that!

Mr. B originally came to me with this project almost a year ago. We had been working on a game, Ultior, when he decided to enter the Halloween contest. We had a great game concept which I won't tell you about because we're still planning on doing it. We also wanted to do the 48 hour game competition with another cool game. The only problem was we had so many cool ideas that the projects became overbearing and impossible to complete in the time granted. So, we had just come off that slump when Mr. B told me about a game that he had been working on for a while.

Perilous Plunge:lite is a truncated version of Perilous Plunge. Now, Mr. B is crazy for rogue-likes. The original Perilous Plunge was going to be a humongous rogue-like, with randomly generated monsters and levels and all of that, similar to Ang-Band. But it never got off the ground. After the frustation of not completing the contest games, he really wanted to just get a game produced. PP:l was supposed to be a short production-time game. Unfortunately, it didn't work out that well.

But it;s almost here!

Mr. B did all of the graphics and scripting, seeing as he is great at that. I served as a consultant and idea trampoline. I also wrote the story and composed that music. The music is theme and variation style, which was a fun experiment for me.

I might post some more about it but unfortunately, I have an appointment.

~Hakkun
