Naruto, a pretty good anime with nice action, but there's just one big problem. Naruto. He's really damn annoying (heh-heh). He needs to remove the catchphrase "Believe it!". Or him. From the show. Now.

What? I'm sorry, Ryan, but removing either one is not an option. First of all, naruto would not be the name of the show any more if the main character was taken out. Naruto is the main character. Fuck Sasuke in his tiny ass, because he's just a side character. Second of all, "believe it" is the American's translator's interpretation of Naruto's unusual vernacular in the Japanese version. I forgot what he says in japanese, just that it isn't actually any language, but just a word he made up. We replaced it with something in English. We could cut that part out, maybe, but that would make Naruto even more cliche.

Anime seemed to be just a collection of preteen boy favourites. I mean, all I saw was the stuff played on YTV. Naruto, Inuyasha (which is actually not bad), Gundam Seed (whcih is really, REALLY bad), and other crap.

Luckily, I have an anime master friend that doesn't watch DBZ. He suggested Neon Genesis Evangelion.

And am I glad he did...

This is what anime- no- cinema is all about. In depth characters, great storyline, plot twists galore, imagery, layering symbolism, and terrific action. This makes macabre drama look so freaking pretty.
Sure, on the outside it's a mecha anime. The action it good, but that's not the point. This masterpiece has so much depth. You can literally talk about it for hours about your beliefs about what everything means.
The music is downright excellent. Somethings it completely contradicts the drama in it, like a character getting his mind torn apart, and they have church hymns playing. The theme is also very upbeat considering how depressing the anime is. None the less, the theme song is very awesome.
I can't much more without giving away it's amazing plot, so I will leave you with this. Whether you love or hate anime, watch this. Unlike Dragon Ball Z, this will make you feel something, I guarantee it.

Neo Evangelion has a ton of sexual inuendo too.. Then again, what anime doesn't throw a little of it in, eh? I mean look at the Capsules that the Human pilot has to go in. DOES THAT NOT RESEMBLE A TAMPON? XD
I think That show is a bit TOO preachy though, if you know what I mean.

As for the other anime, like Inuyasha and DBZ, they were good while they lasted. Inuyasha is not quite through, but I think I got the point. All the annoying side stories they have to throw in while searching for the Sacred jewel shard, the last fricken one, are getting on my nerves. LET'S SEE THE MOST LIKELY DISSAPOINTING FINAL FIGHT BETWEEN INUYASHA AND NARAKU ALREADY.
