Well, it is rather an idealization that everyone will hold your own values. The best you can do is avoid those who don't, which means a Journals list that shows all journals but the ones you don't want or just the particular ones you do want would be a good system.

I'm betting he's working on one of them, along with the Who Can't Read Your Journal list, but mentioning it couldn't hurt.

This, of course, doesn't help the original argument, that people may click All Journals and see stuff that's stupid, but there's little chance of that anyway. In fact, this may help filter out snootish closed-minded people.
On the other hand, it probably won't filter out stupid closed-minded people, but I think that was the original complaint.

Ugh. This is just a goddamn stalemate whichever way you look at it.

The "View only the journals you want" system is already in place . From the main page, go to "Journal Settings". The top section, "Watched Journals," contains a buddy list. Adding users by name adds them to the "Watched Journals" list, which would bring them up on the Watched Journals page (the default page if you click on Journals), and it allows those users to access your private posts.

Watching Games is currently in the works. Banning members from journals is also under production. Expect those early next week. An Ignore Users list is being considered. I'm always open to suggestion; any quirks, comments, or ideas are welcome.

Okay. Looking forward to the FAQ, so I can actually figure out how all this works. Took me forever to find the page to start a game journal.

I was aware of being able to watch certain journals; that's sort of a Watch Only These, Ignore the Rest, setting. What I was saying was a Watch All But These Journals, setting.
