ANYONE WITH SATELLITE INTERNETZ IN THE HOUSE?! I KNOW YOU'RE OUT THERE! Please? I'm going to be getting it soon (hopefully) and need to know how you like it. That'd be nice.

Anyways, haven't posted in a while, so I thought I'd change that by...posting. FEBRUARY WAS A SHORT MONTH and I hate that. February is like the stripper as far as months go. Just a freakin' tease. Nothing like the other months. All the other months follow the course of 30 days, 31 days...then we get to february and it's all NUH UH BOY and it's...28 days. Damn you, february. In fact, I'd say February is the least exciting month of the year. Even less exciting than March.

You can tell I wasn't really wanting to post. Really. Go watch The Roller Blade Six instead of read this. Hmm...should've put this up top. Oh well. Oookay...

My thaughts: If satelite internet is anything like satelite cable, then it might not be entirely stable. Whenever there is bad weather or anything that could hinder the reception, you might have difficulty with speeds or quality. And, as you know, there is no better day to be on the internet than a day when you're stuck inside because of bad weather. Wink

If you are in the US then I woudn't suggest it, it's more expensive than most high speed ISP's and slower.

Uh...it's either this or dial-up for me, man. I'm sure a lot of you city types don't realize this, but people who live out in the country like I do can't really get any type of broadband other than satellite or t1/similar, which would be even more expensive. So I'm stuck with dial-up or satellite.

Ooo. That's rough. Well, I'm not sure which is faster. Satelight internet requires a dish, right?

It does, and you also have a sucky upload rate since you can't transmit data upstream through a dish

Funny cactus man, Cable is US slang for any TV that you have to pay for (i.e satillite, cable etc.)

My friend has satillite. He says its faster than dialup but can be buggy and easy to get knocked up with viruses. I too live a few miles out of town. But for things like OHR (games by the kilobytes) dialup speed works ok for me.

Sat. Internet is horrendously overpriced though (my buddys' playing 70 bucks a month for soso service Neutral )
