Everyone who tried this game always forgets to EQUIP the glasses, while Jarrod only says "I have to put my glasses on" I thought I implied that you have to equip them. If you are too stupid to do that, I don't want you playing my game anyway.

While I haven't played your game yet (I am about to), you could have easily used plotscripting to equip the character with his glasses if they're really so important.

The 'equipping of the glasses' is just one of many jokes in the game. (I answer lots those questions in the instruction manual.) If I didn't want Jarrod to be blind without them, he would start the game with accuracy.

I'll admit, if my game has a weakness, it is the lack of plotscripting. I feel I was able to make things work without plot scripting, but of course everyone will have their own opinion on that. While the beginning has some graphical problems (they suck), this game actually gets way better as it goes along. If you are into the stupid plot, you'll be awarded.

Again, remember to read the instruction manual! It answers almost any question! Or, you can just ask questions here.

Didn't care for this game. I played for about ten minutes before giving up. The random battles at the beginning are way too frequent; I didn't know where to go in the town and having a battle every three steps wasn't getting me there any faster. The main character is pretty bland in personality and sprite style, so I lost interest in his journey. There are too many houses in this town that don't lead to anywhere. I know you put them in for scenery, but it was pretty frustrating trying to find what I was looking for with no clear indication as it was, and staring at rows of generic houses didn't help.

Random battles are a pathetic way to increase the length of a game. I'm sure it's actually 11+ hours, but there's no way I'm spending half of them on meaningless fights. You clearly have the drive to create a large game, so fill in the gaps these random encounters are filling with something more interesting.

Seems too much like a rip-off of Earthbound with Super Mario RPG music. I know that seems harsh, but there isn't any other way to describe the game because there wasn't much more to it (at least that I saw)

P.S: I liked the glasses joke, but the problem with it is that the character never SAYS he'll be unable to see without the glasses on. I think this could be used as an equipment tutorial, actually. Guide the player through the process using the joke; don't just assume they actually read your 22-page manual.

I give it a rating of '1' for the moment. You clearly put effort into the game, but there's a lot to be learned about game design here. Give it a work-over and I might consider playing again.

Equipping the glassing with plotscripting would completely ruin the point. Not that I've played it. But I would/might.

Sprite style yes (because I suck at drawing), but throughout the game you learn more about his personality. And of course, there are many things not meant to be taken seriously.

None of the houses lead to anywhere, the first level is so newbies can learn navigate and fight some easy battles. As Jarrod says, he has to go to the 'King Kullen'. (Which is a Supermarket chain in Long Island.) There is a guy who even tells you where the find the supermarket.

Battles are a part of the game, but an overworld, towns, stores, and other minor sidequests occur later in the game. Still, I am sure the game has more battles than you would like. Personally, I enjoy them.

Never really heard of Earthbound, all I know is that one of the characters is in Smashbrothers. There are 70 tracks of music in the game, most of it is not from SMRPG.

Could have, but I felt it was a simple joke. Nothing in the game ever gets extremely complicated...

I doubt I am remaking this game, the premise was intentionally stupid, but it taught me a lot of things about making a game. This game was more of a joke created to rip one of my close friends. If I ever make another game, it will be completely different.

Thanks for the constructive criticism. Just please try to get a little further in the game before judging the other 10:50. Happy

OK, well, I'm just saying; I was given absolutely no indication of where to look. I got tired of fighting the random battles pretty quick--holding down the spacebar isn't really an ideal use of my time.

I understand that you made the game to poke fun at friends or something, but if you're releasing it to people who don't know your friends and still want them to enjoy it, you need to have a little mercy on the player. (This is actually a very common 'newbie game' convention, so I'm not singling you out or anything)
