Review # 1 for *Worthy*
Them's Fightin' Words
This game had a very unique and different storyline than the conventional RPG and for that I commend the maker. There are a lot of areas of improvement in this game and I think it has great potential.
Graphics
Some of the maptiles were great. Some in particular were the roofs, houses, buildings, trees, battle backgrounds, and some other parts of nature that I can't specifically recall.
Then they took a turn for the worse. Some of the walkabouts could have handled a lot more effort without putting up a fuss. Example would be the hair of James. It is a solid yellow. Perhaps different shades of yellow to show some texture wouldn't hurt. Also with some of the arms of some of the people have an outline to them that does not blend in with the rest of the NPC. If my memory serves me correctly I think one NPC was wearing blue clothing and had a yellow outline for his arms.
Overall, the graphics weren't too bad, not much enjoyment of the game was lost due to grahpics. More time should be spent on enemies and walkabouts primarily.

Storyline
As I said before, it was a unique storyline. This game has a lot of potential. I haven't got too far into the game yet but overall I really like it. I do plan on getting further in the game and then editing my review but the creator wanted to see some reviews for his game.

Gameplay
Gameplay wasn't too bad. There was no music which really caused the gameplay to go down a bit for me. Something unique should be added in the town. Perhaps more mini-games or side-quests.
One thing that did get frustrating was saving the game. I know it's popular to use savepoints in games but that's just one thing I frown upon. Unless saving messes up plotscripts or another part of the game, why make the player find a save point in order to save the game? I don't understand...

  Battle
Battles were alright. The enemy graphics could have greatly improved. The beginning battles got slightly old considering no new spells were learned (with the exception of recover) and I continuously pressed "enter" over and over watching the same attack.
Another thing that got annoying were the slimes. Every time one attacked it was like three attacks. The animations weren't anything to get excited about either.

  Map Design
Great! I loved the town. Perhaps a different looking building or something to break the same pattern of buildings would be interesting...
  Balance
Good, not much more to say.
Music
NONE, with the exception of the title screen.
Enjoyment
Needs music and something else...maybe a mini-game, sidequest, or something to get the player's attention rather than simply walking around town and building up.
Final Blows
This game can definately improve and has a LOT of potential. More work put into the walkabouts and enemies would make this game a lot more exciting (graphically speaking). As I said before, the storyline was unique and was very unconvential.

PLEASE don't let this letter grade discourage you. I will definately edit my review once I get farther in the game. I am also a harsh judge. I tried to give you some advice to show you were improvement could be made. I will keep a lookout for an update to the game.

NOTE: The way I grade games is I take the average of the 5 scores out of 10. Then I find the percentage scored out of the total (50) and give the game a letter grade based on the percentage. Don't compare the letter grade with the grade sheet that Squall put up. I am a hard judge because the best way to learn is by seeing your games weaknesses. Giving someone an A to be nice is not helping them become a better game designer.

Final Scores
Graphics: 6.5/10.0
Buildings and some scenary were great! Walkabouts, enemies, and some heroes weren't so good, but could be with more effort!
Storyline: 7/10.0
Great storyline! Needs something else though, rather than simply a tournament. I haven't got far in the game and if something else unfolds I will change my score.
Gameplay: 5/10.0
A little boring at times, but has great potential.
Music: 5/10.0
No music other than the title screen. I am not taking music into consideration while deciding on a grade.
Enjoyment: 6.5/10.0
Needs some mini-games or sidequests or something to keep the player's interest up.
Overall Grade: D
