Review # 3 for RedMaverickZero
Them's Fightin' Words
Everybody or at least most people love or have loved DragonballZ at one time or another. And one of the most famous characters is Vegeta. I downloaded this game, thinking it would be as cool as the show...
Graphics
Graphics were pretty bad. But only the battle graphics. Walkabouts were acceptable. And the maps seemed to have a lot of thought. Although the cave map had a little too much thought. Because it was so confusing to navigate through it. But anyways, attack graphics were fair, hero graphics were in my opinion horrible, and walkabouts were pretty neat.
Storyline
There really was no storyline. Vegeta and Nappa go to this planet, before they have encountered Goku and the Z-Fighters. And are supposed to explore the planet and then report right back to Freiza to let him know of anything on the planet. Which all of that was given in the beginning of the game however, and the storyline wasn't established anymore after that, that I was aware of anyways.
Gameplay
Gameplay was alright... Just alright. It would have been a lot better if that cave weren't so difficult. After all it was the beginning of the game, things shouldn't be so difficult or confusing at that part of the game... So that made it so very unbalanced. Which balance is a thing I look for in a game.
  Battle
Battles were either really easy, or really hard. Depending on what you did in the beginning of the game. Vegeta learns an attack called BigBang, which pretty much kills all the enimies on the screen. If you didn't know that move, you would most likely die, like I did before I discovered the item.
  Map Design
Maps looked nice. Although, the cave was really really dark, and very confusing. I'd say, that was the biggest downside of the game. If that damn cave would have been shorter and easier it would have given me a higher opinion of the game.
  Balance
The game was balanced you could say. Although, there were no items to replinish the MP. And balance is a big thing to me, so seeing no MP restoration items made me sad. But you did have a large amount of MP. The heroes(villans) had very little HP, and in one bad fight, you could die in one hit. Which really sucked, because in the cave the random battles were very high, so if you didn't use the "BigBang" attack, you would have died. Thank goodness for the F4 button.
Music
Music was very odd. Considering all of it was ripped very horribly. All the music, with the exception of the title screen music seemed to be the music you get when you first get the OHR engine. A bad thing to have in a game I'd say.
Enjoyment
I didn't enjoy this game very much. I only played up until the end to review this game. The cave was a horrible turn-off and on top of that, the horrible unbalance of the game made it worse.
Final Blows
If you plan on making another DBZ fan game, try to think of the players who will play the game, because, just because you know your way around the impossible parts, doesn't mean that they do.

Final Scores
Graphics: 5/10.0
I won't completely bash the graphics too bad. But the battle graphics are what really killed them...
Storyline: 3.5/10.0
No real storyline other than what was said in the beginning of the game... Which is a bad thing, I like the establishment of character personality, which I didn't see in this game.
Gameplay: 1.5/10.0
The cave and balance really threw off this section... That cave was damn near impossible, and in the first five minutes of gameplay too...
Music: 2/10.0
I give it a 2, because there actually was music. That doesn't mean it was good music though.
Enjoyment: 3/10.0
Horrible... Very horrible. But all the same, it held my interest enough to let me play the game through, to write this review. It just needs A LOT... I repeat, A LOT of work to make it better.
Overall Grade: F
Final Thoughts
Don't ever work in this town again... Just kidding. Try to use your talents into consideration of the players, and work on graphics more.
