Yo Ghost the Beginning vs. Spoon Weaver
Yo Ghost the Beginning Best Weapon I found in the game. I guess there could be super rare drops or items hidden in trees.

Review # 1 for Spoon Weaver Best Weapon I found in the game. I guess there could be super rare drops or items hidden in trees.
Them's Fightin' Words
The neat little graphic that made the title screen zoom in at me gave me high hopes. It is most likely the coolest part of the game.
Graphics
The intro was cool, but past that, there are a total of 4 battle sprites, 5 walkabout sprites, and about 6 attack animations. Also the weird thing the maker seemed to be trying to do with the trees just sorta made the graphics seem worse. I mean what kind of tree only has a small fro of leafs at the very top? it's like they're a cross between a palm tree and a oak or something. Oh, and what was up with the town?

Storyline
So the evil Yo-Ghost Invaders have come in what seems to be sushi form to take over our planet or something. So, the game starts out with some good yo ghost fighting. However then you beat the big yo ghost and all of a sudden your main foe becomes bandits, which are much more powerful then the Yo ghost. So it seems the invaders never stood a chance. Poor yo ghosts.

Gameplay
Well.... it was pretty mind numbing. The only power up in the whole game that I found was a stick, which you pretty much have to pick up. So honestly it's one of those games where the player doesn't get to alter the happenings of the game very much. These games aren't that uncommon now a days, however, they are normally accompanied by better graphics.

  Battle
About 4 attacks to choose from if I count that fact that the stick gives you one. The enemies seem to have 2 that you can't get, namely the Yo ghost beam. Also the 2 generic backgrounds were pretty awful.

  Map Design
Random little mazes in the confusing trees, towns that lock their house holes, and INNs that are completely void of life. It honestly doesn't seem like there was much effort put into the maps at all.

  Balance
In order to beat the final boss (without debugging away from him) it seems like it would require years of grinding. Honestly, I don't think there is any sort of balance in this game at all. It's simply, the monsters have some stats and attacks and so do you. Good Luck.

Music
Honestly, the music wasn't all that bad. Good job.

Enjoyment
    Nope, not really

Final Blows
    Better luck next time.
Boss fight!! This is what I believe is the end boss. Though, nothing happens after he's defeated.

Final Scores
Graphics: 1/10.0
lack-tastic
Storyline: 1/10.0
If there had been no survivors from these attacks, then who was taken to work for this empire. Seems likes there are massive holes in the "plot".
Gameplay: 1/10.0
bad
Music: 3.5/10.0
Ok
Enjoyment: 3/10.0
not really that great. But it did make me feel really good about myself. So hurray Yo Ghost.
Overall Grade: F
Final Thoughts
The game seemed very, very, incomplete. Like something you think up and then realize it's an awful idea and so never work on it again.
