Review # 1 for Valigarmander Fools! They do not realize that I will jump out and scare them to amass many points! Bwahaha!
Them's Fightin' Words
Scare Spree is a fun game by Moogle1 and RedMaverickZero where you get to scare kids crapless to win candy and points. Who wouldn't have a good time?
Graphics
The graphics are great, especially considering that this was a contest game and was put together in a short amount of time. The map is large, the houses are uniquely decorated and there are plenty of things to please the eye. The walkabout graphics for the characters are varied and unique. Throughout the game you'll find little mermaids, Mr. Triangles, devils, moogles, ghosts (including the famous Charlie Brown ghost with its many holes--the designers even went as far as to make him drop rocks instead of candy! Fantastic.), Scream guys, pirates, witches, Ninja Turtles, and plenty more. All in all this game is very pleasing graphically. Kudos to you, RMZ.
Storyline
Erm, I guess a kid goes around trying to scare kids on Halloween. This game doesn't really have a story, not that it's the kind that even needs one.
Gameplay
The gameplay! Scare Spree is very fun. The point is to scare as many kids within the alotted time. You can do a regular scare, a running scare, and a hiding scare for varied amounts of points. Kids sometimes drop candy to give you more time. At then end of your run you are shown your score along with a template for how well you could have done. I tend to only get a couple thousand (I suck), but some players have gotten over ten thousand points.
  Battle
There is no battling in Scare Spree, unless you consider running up and scaring kids a battle.
  Map Design
The map design is very good. The locations are varied, they are interesting, and there are plenty of places around the town to scare the kids.
  Balance
Ah, I've never been good at judging balance in a game. But Scare Spree seems pretty balanced. There's enough time to get plenty done, and with the possibility of finding candy you can very well get upwards of ten thousand points (or so I'm told).
Music
Well, I would have chosen something better than the theme to "Bewitched," but the music is theme-appropriate and gets the job done.
Enjoyment
This game is very fun, but will get boring eventually. I could play the game for about half an hour then get bored of it. This is still more than I can say about some of the other games on Castle Paradox, though.
Final Blows
Scare Spree is a very good game. The graphics are great, the plotscripting is fantastic, and overall it's a very fun game. Good job, Moogle1 and RMZ. Good job.
Aw, pecker. I give it my damnest and I'm still an amateur.
