Review # 6 for Iblis Hitler sucks his thumb, I guess.
Them's Fightin' Words
Hitler, a pilgrim named Drew Carey, and Princess Lana. Do I really need to say more?

Oh, I guess I do. In this game you play as Hitler and you are teleported to colonial America, and then later to JSH's OHR Land, the setting of the epic OMG trilogy and OHR House. If you liked those then you will probably like at least the story portions of the game. It's full of all sorts of JSH-style weirdness.

I wasn't really sure what to put for the time on this game. My save file at the end said a bit less than 2 hours and 20 minutes, so I raised it to that taking the final battle into account. But you will actually spend a lot more time on this game, dying against bosses and trying again.
Graphics
The sprites were pretty good. JSH isn't really the best spriter out there, but his odd style works well for this odd game. The sprites of the three heroes are probably the best ones. You see them the most so it makes sense that the most work would've been put into them. Some of the ones taken or slightly altered from OHR House also looked pretty good. But many of them were drawn pretty poorly (very likely purposefully).

The maptiles were not the best. Renzo had mostly single color tiles, as you can see from the screenshot. Other places had better maptiles, but they were never anything to brag about. Luckily having some lame graphics fits the mood of the game pretty well. A place as stupid as Renzokuken village shouldn't have good maptiles.

Battle sprites were about the same quality level as the walkabouts, I'd say. Things that were supposed to look good looked good, and things that were supposed to look stupid looked stupid. Some enemies were imported backdrops instead of sprites, which were usually pretty poorly imported, as seems to be JSH's style. There aren't a huge variety of attacks, and the ones that were there were mostly pretty simple.

Storyline
The storyline was pretty much only there to give you some kind of reason to fight battles. I like this kind of story. It doesn't get in the way of the gameplay. If you want a serious and intricate plot with deep characters you will not like the story of this game, and will likely not enjoy the rest of it either.

The majority of this game takes place in JSH's OHR Land. So far this is easily my favorite rendition of the OHR community in an OHR game. I always enjoy seeing OHR community members made fun of in OHR games, so I'm probably biased here.

Many people apparently went into this game expecting a constant laughter-fest. That's not what this game is. It's never really laugh-out-loud funny, but it's fairly amusing all the way through. JSH seems to be good at writing weird dialogue and weird situations, and this game is loaded with those things.

Gameplay
I liked that the equipment was largely random stuff (for example, one of them was "Casino"). However a lot of the equipment wasn't as useful as I might like. It's good that the equipment balances out good and bad effects, but I'd prefer fewer bad effects, myself.

One of the things that struck me most about this game was that the gameplay was really different. The battles aren't fought quite like they are in most RPGs. I was really happy to see some original gameplay concepts, so it's possible that part of the reason I enjoyed the battles so much was because of how original they were. You might not experience the same enjoyment.

  Battle
The battles in this game are really unique. Each character has a very specific purpose. Hitler attacks, Drew heals, and Lana alters stats. And each character is actually GOOD at what they do. This is something people don't normally think about, but every character should be useful, and every skill a character has should be useful. Useless crap is just a waste of space and time. I liked that JSH didn't try to give each character a huge load of attacks. They only had the ones they needed.

There aren't any space-bar smashing battles. That really wouldn't work with this game, since only Hitler has a normal attack with his default skill. I found the battles to be very challenging and mostly very enjoyable. There were a few that annoyed me, but they were in a tiny minority.

There are no random battles in this game, which is really a good thing since you don't need to get money or level up. The only pointless battles are the ghosts in Zant. You get nothing from them, and so they probably shouldn't be there.

  Map Design
The map design is entirely linear (except for the OHR Land map), which is all it needs to be. The battles are the core of this game, the maps are really just places inbetween battles. Like the story, map design is minimal so that it doesn't get in the way of the gameplay.

The cave of riches, or whatever it's called, was kind of annoying. It took me a while to find my way out, even once I found the secret hole in the wall.

  Balance
This game is a challenge. If Hitler dies, then in nearly 100% of the battles you will definitely lose. If Drew dies, then you have a slightly higher chance of winning, but it's still probably not going to happen. If Lana dies you could still probably win, but she's still quite useful and makes things a lot easier. Luckily JSH added the "FORFEIT" item so that if victory is impossible you can just kill your party instead of waiting to die.

There are no levels in this game. Your characters improve by getting skills and by equipment. You won't ever need a skill before you get it, and after you get it the skill will be very useful, if not completely necessary. There are a few bosses (RMZ's monsters and Orchy, mostly) that gave me a lot of trouble, possibly more than necessary. I would probably make this game a bit less difficult than it is. Your first time through you'll likely fight most of the bosses more than once.

Music
All ripped, of course. JSH is always great at music selection. The selection for this is a bit less perfect than OHR-House, but it was still mostly very good (even when the music was very bad).

Enjoyment
Are you kidding? Most enjoyable OHR game ever.

Final Blows
I loved this game. However, you have to remember three things:

1) I tend to be biased towards difficult gameplay.
2) I am hard to offend.
3) I don't expect (or want, really) a serious story or deep characters.

If you like easy games, are easy to offend, and want some kind of intricate plot, you will very likely not enjoy this game.

I should probably reiterate that this game is NOT without flaws. My review might sound like I'm praising nearly every single aspect of this game, but it wasn't perfect. However, it's still the best OHR game I've ever played.
This game has characters you can really identify with.

Final Scores
Graphics: 6/10.0
The sprites were all pretty good where they were supposed to be. But some of the maptiles and backgrounds weren't up to that standard. It all fit the mood well though.
Storyline: 7/10.0
Very strange, original and interesting. It did pretty much all it needed to do, no more than that.
Gameplay: 9/10.0
Rocking awesome. An original system that shows how much more the OHR can do than just your FF-style games. A few points knocked off for some difficulty problems.
Music: 9/10.0
Great all around, except where it was supposed to be annoying.
Enjoyment: 10/10.0
Again, the most enjoyable OHR game I have ever played.
Overall Grade: A+
Final Thoughts
    Hitler makes everything better!
