Review # 51 for Chaos Nyte
Them's Fightin' Words
Hmm. I just know this another newbie game. It has to be. I've never heard of the author, and the file size is small. ...but it doesn't look like a newbie game...and the plot isn't a hack and... and... Wow.

Storyline- Enter Justin, a oddly dressed man who has just arrived in the town of Northern Peak, deep in the wilderness that is the Western Region. The town is bustling with life, and after getting in the way of several townspeople, Justin almost runs into the largest building in town. A manor belonging to Willy, Governor of the town. He questions a local townsperson about it before deciding to leave, when he suddenly bumps into a frantic mother, whose son Timmy has been captured by a rock creature in the caves to the north of town. Justin, no stranger to danger, heads out to the Nocturnal Caves, just in time to save the town's thief, Entrand from an enemy. Justin finds out from Entrand that things are not as they seem in Northern Peak, and that Willy may be up to no good. But first, they decide to join forces to rescue Timmy. At the end of the caves they find Timmy, but he is being guarded by a huge rock monster (Who looks really, really, cool.) and their forced into a fight with him. The furious battle rages, with the only possible outcome of Justin and Entrand winning. They bring Timmy back to his mother, who thanks them profusely. Then Entrand outlines his plans to Justin, and the sneak into the manor, only to be caught by Willy! He laughs evilly, and then tells them that there off to jail. After a bit of a teaser, where your told Justin in the "chosen one", the demo ends. Total time- 45 minutes.

Graphics- The bushes in Northern Peak sway in the wind, water drips in puddles in the caves, Justin and Entrand's battle graphics are seamless. While not mind blowing good, this graphics are definitely top notch, all the way.

Gameplay- Battles are well designed, items actually do what there suppose too, and the cave is a actual dungeon for once. Your going to enjoy playing this game, I promise.

Music- A bit annoying actually. Ripped of course, but placed in annoying places. The battle music is to loud, and the town's music repeats itself.
Final Scores
Graphics: 9/10.0
Very well done. Some real effort was put forward.
Storyline: 8/10.0
You can see where the plot is going, but it's still interesting.
Gameplay: 8/10.0
Good stuff. Though it seems odd that there weren't any treasure chests in Willy's manor...
Music: 4/10.0
Kinda of irritating after awhile.
Overall Grade: B
Final Thoughts
This is what demos should play like. Great job Justin!
