Review # 10 for Chaos Nyte
Them's Fightin' Words
Bob is the Demon Warrior, ready to go on his journey of manhood. Uh, I mean save his family. Or was it to defeat the five spirits? Hey whats that over there? Ooo, shiny.

Storyline: Okay, so maybe Bob has the attention span of a wet sponge, that isn't the point. The point is how to spakle your bathtub, now first you want to......Damn, the game got to me. Bob starts off in bed, says goodbye to his mother, and ends up with his doped up pal Smokey blowing all their money at casinos, and wandering around mountains, until he meets his untimely end sliding off a dock in the frozen north. Yes, thats right. He falls off a dock and dies. Finally, a demo with a decent ending. I suppose Bob is aware that he should be murdering dragons and such, but when your loaded down with cash and unleased onto a plain packed with villages that seem to be built around casinos, well, theirs only so much a guy can do. I'm only surprised that he didn't end up with overdosing on crack with a hooker on each arm for the finale. Oh, and the grammar and spelling is atrocious, lucky I have an imagination, so I could invent dialogue when the game puttered out. Maybe that’s why I found this game so bizarrely entertaining. What NPCs do talk usually spout inane and hilarious things, and hey, I ain't complaining.

Graphics: Typical newbie style, badly and quickly drawn. There are some good points, Bob's walk-abouts are decent, and the tiles don't detract from the game to much, but still a lackluster effort here.

Gameplay: The casinos offer some interesting mini games, but without the shoes that double your speed, this would of been one boring game. Map layouts are done in a confusing and bad way, and the plot is far to non-linear to allow vast pointless spaces of land. Enemies are well balanced, but Level gain yields far to little in stat gain. Luckily the game's Salads can increase your Hp by almost a thousand Hp. So you stock up and roll through. It took me about 45 minutes to beat the demo. Without the plot, this games a yawn.

Music: Er...only a few songs, some are only ten seconds long, and a few maps didn't even have music. Annoying at best.
Final Scores
Graphics: 3/10.0
Newbie style at its most average.
Storyline: 6/10.0
funny, but in the same way a five year old slamming his head into a wall over and over again is funny. Wee!
Gameplay: 2/10.0
Some good ideas, none of which were done well.
Music: 1/10.0
Turn it down, waaaaaay down.
Overall Grade: D+
Final Thoughts
Entertaining, but after it's done you'll be wondering why.
