I haven't posted here as much as I originally planned. I blamed it all on my 3d design course, which the former students called it "dimensional bootcamp." As for me and my classmates, we called it the "dimensional concentration camp."
This one is my first attempt at doing amiga style pixelation. I believe this one is about 2 years old. Despite it failure in reaching the expected goal, I'm fairly satisfied with the result:
- for the lineart
- for the finished result.
The picture is pretty much based on one of the fan photos sent to y2khai.com . I didn't draw the right hand touching the cap because it produces awkward result at the end. I partly based Lewis' design on this piece, btw, even though at the end Lewis looks alot different.
This one appears in the purgatory t-shirt design. It was originally intended to be a feelie for Purgatory... but was canceled. I originally intended to make an item called bauer's journal or something. In his journal, Bauer includes alot of magazine covers and news clipping about Lewis. This is supposed to be one of the magazine cover he put on his journal. If the player attempted to use this item, he will be given a password to journal.pdf (which got discarded at the end.) Journal.pdf will be designed so that it actually look as if it belongs to a stalker (like includes a scanned handwritten notes with lewis' schedule, phone address, etc.) The file also includes some clues to solve in-game puzzles.
As for these... they're unused monsters for the canceled Motherland project. Oh well...
C&C are welcomed, as always.

Yay! Orchard posts!
First one - I don't really see anything wrong, except for in the lips. You did a good job for an 8-bit(somewhat 8-bit. Kinda lacks a color, so, heh.)
Second - I don'rt like the light sources. They seem to change too much, and I know I don't see any metal objects.
Third - Eh..don't like the abdominal area, and the pants could use a different color. Don't really like that green. |

that's damn good for a pixelation picture.
it's got with the color (especially since it's not supposed to be all textured) _________________ If we were a pack of dogs, IM would be a grand Hound, CN would be a very ficious little pitball, and Giz...well, it doesn't matter breed he is, he'd still be a bitch

Wow I feel like all those years I've spent practicing drawing on the computer were useless. Those are frickin' good. |

I'm surprised MCW didn't comment on the breasts. |

*Section Edited by Shadowiii when better judgement fell upon him. Fell hard. Owie.*
Ha ha...
Anyway, that is some of the BEST pixel art I've ever freakin seen, especially the OHR ones with teh 16 color limitation. I envy you. Greatly. Grr. _________________ But enough talk, have at you! |

As far as pixel art goes: wonderfully done!
As far as art goes: that's revolting.
I agree with madhatter (except for the 'being female' part)
So Shadowiii...you have changed your stance, I percieve..? |

Mr. B- hehe, I was just kidding. :p
Setu_Firestorm - Don't we all. If I could pixelate like that, I'd leave the OHR behind Loooong ago and start working for EA or something. _________________ But enough talk, have at you! |

Yeah, but I put in quite a bit of effort and I still couldn't pixilate like that if my life depended on it.
Heh. But yeah, I'd guess he did practice a lot to get that good. Or should I say, that AMAZING. EAAAAH. _________________ But enough talk, have at you! |
