Not sure what caused this sudden surge of interest in posting ohr games on other sites, and I'm even more confused as to why we're focusing on just this one other site. From my experience posting games on other sites does nothing but give those other sites slightly more content. Without proper links and crediting, players will be very unlikely to know who exactly made the game their playing and will therefore be unlikely to accredit it to the correct party. Also, having more than 1 site hosting your game means keeping more than one of your game files up to date, and checking in to more than one community for possible questions concerning your game.

Further more, the amount of activity on this rpgmaker.net that you guys are going so crazy for is actually laughable. My games on Slimesalad get just as many if not more downloads then the ohr games are getting on rpgmaker.net. The number of views might be high but since slimesalad doesn't record views it might be high there too. Also who cares if it gets a lot of views, if people aren't downloading then who cares?

I'm all for getting the OHR name out there and getting our community's games more play, but I don't believe THIS is a very good way to do it.

It's better than posting it only here or on slime salad.

Also, these things take time. When you first post your game to a portal site, you can't expect the world. But it's a starting point for greater things. I think it's awesome the ohr's getting a spot among the other engines there, and hope to see this become a trend.

And the downloads are much more important than the views.

Which is still great!! The more the merrier.

Yes, crediting is important. When posting a game on a site it is a good idea to have your name and any relevant links in the description, and to have the same in a readme, and I think it is even better to have an in-game credits screen (only a few of my games do that now, but I will be mindful of it in the future)

Also, the trouble of having multiple places to upload a file when an update happens is a real problem. That is why so far I have only submitted my complete games to rpgmaker.net, and not any of my in-progress games.
