I recently made the switch to Linux!

Anyway, I was wondering if the Linux nightlies are behind the Windows ones, or if I just screwed up the installation. I tried the debian file and the tarball from here, but still ended up with version 20110506. Is this the most recent Linux version? I really wanted to use some of the new slice stuff. |

I actually can't remember the last time I tested the tarball, but the deb file should certainly be up-to-date. I can guess why it says you have version 20110506

Try opening a terminal and running:

 	  | Code: |

which -a ohrrpgce-game

 |

And see where it finds the installed binary. It should be in /usr/games and nowhere else |

That is the only location that comes up. Same for Custom.

EDIT: Finally figured it out. Despite that terminal command only revealing one location, I did have a copy of the zenzizenic version that wasn't being replaced. Probably from screwing up a tarball install earlier (I honestly don't remember even downloading that version, but whatever). Thanks for the help, though! I feel like I'm making progress with this whole Linux thing. |

I would guess that the copy of Zenzizenic was one linked to from some desktop item of menu, or associated with .rpg files? 'which' will only show executables in the PATH. _________________ "It is so great it is insanely great." |

				| I think it was just something I had accidentally extracted earlier and forgotten about. |
