I made this a long time ago, forgot I had it, found it, and decided to throw it up for everyone who wants an experience chart and doesn't want to make their own.

Enjoy.

Hoo, hah. That will come in handy. You should send it to James Paige, he'll probably find a good place to stick it.

Thanks

That would really depend on your settings for the level 0 and 99 mp stats.

To know what the MP stat would be for each level you'd need to know the formula (which I don't remember) as well as the level 0 and level 99 stats you gave the hero in the mp stat.

That thing is very useful. I wonder why he decided on that amount of XP for everything? Curious...

Plus, after lv 54, that really screws up gameplay...well...whatever...

Anyway thats really cool, and really useful. Smokin'

Not if you do it right - I have a single enemy in my game that gives 70,000 experience points (more than any other normal enemy) - can you figure out how? (naturally, if we had customizable exp growth, I'd lower that a lot Raspberry!)

I could make a Level MP chart - it is not dependant on what MP is set to in the stats setting. I'll add it once it is done.

Edit: Blazes Battles, No, no, no.... Its the Level MP, like the FF1-style. That's not dependant on MP set in the stat growth.

Edit the second: Oh, look, here it is. It took me about five minutes to figure out the pattern Smokin'

http://www.cp-games.org/level-mp.txt

It only goes to level 50...you can probably figure out the pattern and most games don't have their heroes go that high anyway. If people want past level 50 though, I'll do it.

yes, i had to figure out how to do this also. you can make enemies give more than 65000 exp by having them summon on death an invisible enemy that kills itself that has some number of exp, and optionally you can have it summon many many of these, which in turn would summon more, so you can give any exp point you want to any boss. you could give 2 mil exp if you wanted to, although the delay to the player would be noticable at those higher amounts. to hide that delay you could summon them during the boss battle itself as the boss reaches 'stages' (like in the growing plip type thing in wandering hamster) or have them appear at the beginning of the battle via an exp enemy that starts out in the beginning, summons more, who eventually die giving the required number of exp, so no delay.

The Level-MP progression reminds me greatly of the system employed by AD&D moreso than Final Fantasy I & III.

This is all very interesting. I remember when we had fake plotscripting, and now, fake battle scripting. Of course however interesting it is, it's useless to me since I'm never going to make a game that involves random battles and leveling up.

I'm attempting to make an rpg that has no necessity for the exp and level statistics as shown on the main menu by the engine. Does anyone know of any way to simply make the numbers up there fail to display, or is it simply something that can never be changed?

if you're refering to the box with the rewards not appearing, then all you need to do is not give the hero any rewards if he wins the battle.

Now why did my post appear before PIcaRDMPC's? I posted in response to it. And in the afternoon. And pretty late.

EDIT: What in the hell? Now his post is gone. Something's buggy here...
