Wow.. can you believe that i've had this contest for over 10 years now? Although i did skip one year... nevertheless...
General Rules
For those who don't know, the 48 Hour contest invites OHRs to take up on the challenge of creating a game within (you guessed it) 48 hours. The rules are quite simple: each contestant must create a game from scratch that follows the theme that is provided on the start of the contest. That means graphics, scripts, and any thing that is contained in your .rpg file must be made within the time constraint of the contest.
There are no limits to how many people work on a game, but each entry must be submitted under one name. So you can work on as many games as you'd like, but you may only submit one entry under your name.
When
The details of this years theme will be released on Saturday July 26 (GMT-5). From that time, you have the whole weekend to make your entries. All entries must be in by midnight on Sunday July 27, Eastern Time (GMT-5) Failure to do so without a legitimate reason will result in disqualifications.
I think by now, we know the rules of the game. But, if there are any questions, just post here or PM me. |

Aww, this year you came *this* close to setting this contest while I have holidays. Instead, I'll lose most of a day due to the timezone shift of the end-date , as usual.
Still, I'm definitely entering if the theme appeals. _________________ "It is so great it is insanely great." |

Opps, I just realised that I intended to finish and release my last 48 hour contest game at some point. I've spent about 2 days on it so far and it's half complete. I don't know how many 48 hours contests I've entered, a few I thought, but I hadn't realised I'd never succeeded. _________________ "It is so great it is insanely great." |

You have yet to release a real game to begin with. :-) _________________ Snippy:

Own't! | But he has also done work on the OHRRPGCE itself, helping people with their scripts and working daily to fix bugs that we complain about, and I believe he is the one that gave us layers. Lack of games? This man doesn't need games to be awesome.

Yeah, I wanted to release that game as my first actually playable one. Eldardeen is close to fully playable, lacking better AI and content. But Bena has done most of the work on it. Pheoret would have been a game if the computer players actually had an AI.
Layers? Nah, that was Mike. He's always the one to jump on the sensational features. _________________ "It is so great it is insanely great."

My mistake. You are still a huge part of OHRRPGCE development, though. _________________
