Eggie probably wouldn't have thought he'd get caught if he had done it. Being new to the community, he wouldn't know that they could check IP's. Thus, he would have no reason not to type as usual, plus no motive to trash OHR. Why would an active member of the community trash the engine? Moreover, why would he not simply use his own account, rather than sign on as a guest?

>And plus, a lot of people don't even pay attention to how old a thread is. If something catches my eye, I post in it. I usually don't consider looking at the date.

I bet alot of people don't bother to turn around or check the mirrors before they change lanes either. I suppose if these people crash, they can just say "OOOPS! I'M SORRY OFFICER, I FORGOT TO CHECK THE MIRRORS! NO HARM DONE! I JUST WRECKED HIS/HER CAR! THAT'S ALL!" and the cops will just let them go. Whoops, I'm sorry, it doesn't work that way.

>Thus, he would have no reason not to type as usual, plus no motive to trash OHR. Why would an active member of the community trash the engine?

Yes, I have been wondering about that too. Recently I've spent alot of time wondering... "Hmmm, that guy who sat next to me while I was in elementary school... what the hell was his motive for being such an ass in class?" oh wait, that's a wrong way of looking at the problem, perhaps the correct way of questioning would be "do assholes need reasons for being assholes?"

In the next episode of OHR:CSI, we will uncover the motives why people kept submitting games with no downloads/screenshots even though they've been warned not to! stay tuned!

Friend,

Anyone who's not a newbie to PHPBB, or any message boards in general, or even the internet in general would know that people can check IPs. Therefore, his reason to not type as usual would be to frame a brother who may or may not exist, and his reason to make a new account would be so that he could say that his brother didn't know the password to his account, although they shared a computer. And the motive to trash the OHR would be we kept yelling at him for reviving dead threads, even if he WAS clearly in the wrong.

But honestly, what I just said for the sake of argument.

There's no way we can know 100% that Eggie was also ihateu. Coupled with the reason he's here right now and is being a big enough person to not post here flaming you for meaning so mean to him, and how he hasn't done anything wrong since the incident, just forget about this whole thing. If he goes out of line, he will be dealt with. If he continues to be a more or less rule-abiding member of the community, there's no reason we shouldn't forgive him for reviving dead threads and for posting the posts, which he may or may not have done. Give him one more chance, and maybe he'll end up making a great game or something.

And if there's any more talk of it, I'll have to call the MIB to erase your memory...

Agreed. Innocent until proven guilty seems to apply here.

I saw part of it, too. That's what reminded me of it...

Whoa, whoa! Eggie's a really cool guy and one of my best friends. I can't believe he'd seriously do anything like this. Is there some kind of evidence that oyu haven't presented, 'cause the case seems kind of weak and this is way out of nowhere.

Maybe his personality improved the past 10 years. That would be nice.

Also woah, CP was once active!

You should prefer the quiet to threads about spamming and banning people.

Yeah, I wouldn't trust Giz behind the wheel of a car either.

I never understood why reviving threads was supposed to be an "offense", even a mild one. People can get worked up over the stupidest things.

Sometimes I consider going back into old threads and reviving them again for the heck of it, but most of those old ones don't have a lot of relevance to anything I could say today.

If you ask me the general rule should be:
"Double posting and necro posting is allowed as long as you add something to the discussion and not just bump the thread."

Also, you drive on the left side in Matakana?
