Care to refresh our memory? The only thing I can think of was a joke top-ten list on BS:OHR, and only one of those points has even been half fulfilled.

Things have really changed a good deal in the last couple years here, though it's possible things back then caused a lot of the dying? |

Heh. Yeah. I better change my signature before it's seen and you get banned. _________________

I don't really expect I would. I mean, it was a joke. Besides, if something I said was gonna get me banned, it would've happened long ago, publicly criticizing the staff and all.
And your sig was funnier before the edit. |

FyreWulff wrote: | You could start this as a thread in your public journal. However, this site needs LESS forums, not MORE forums.
I wrote up a proposal for a revamp a while back, and this was the end result:
Castle Paradox
+ Temp Game Review Links ( link link link link)
+ Paradox Lounge
+ Creative Corner (Post and critique stories, music and art)
OHRRPGCE
+ OHR Discussion (Talk about the engine and the games made with it)
+ Plotscripting Help
+ Game Design Discussion
There's barely enough active people to support the existing forums. |
I second this. Smaller boards are nice. Some things just don't need there own sepreate forum. Smaller boards are just more appealing to the public. When a board is large, it looks like a mess, and new users just don't want want to take the time to figure it out.
Maybe not as few forums as FyreWulf is suggesting, but less anyways. _________________ I drew my Icon!

Actually, we could stand to do with far fewer forums (not less forums, though). I'd recommend the following:
+ Soapbox (for front page stuff)
+ General Discussion
+ Creative Corner, to steal Fyre's terminology
+ OHR Discussion (including plotscripting help)
+ Game Design Discussion
No announcements forum (subsumed under the other forums), no OHR Weekly (why is this still around?), no What Would You Like to See (subsumed under General Discussion), no Review Wars (subsumed under OHR Discussion, as if we had enough reviews to warrant the forum anyway), no CP/OHR forum division. The links should stay, but then they're not a forum anyway. _________________

It's funny because you have a forum of your own with almost 25 sections.
|
Funny, because I posted this on my board last night.
Chaotix wrote: | I will also be deleting ALL posts, forums, and other things. And this forum will turn into something far different.
This board will become much smaller, with a whole lot less forums.
This will start on July 1st.
Any one who wishes to stay active on this site, you MUST make at least one post on THIS topic.
