I figured it was about time we had an art thread for the purpose of posting pictures that -INSPIRE- us. Pictures that you look at and say "that's awesome", and then want to go out and do something else awesome. I think that's a good idea, and since I'm all for truely awesome stuff, I figured that it's about time a thread was made where we could just post artwork that's really good. That way, when you're feeling down, you can go back and just look at this thread and pick up a good dose of motivation.

I only ask two things, and they really aren't much. Firstly, don't outright steal other people's work and claim it as your own. Secondly, keep this civil. In fact, you don't have to post any comments at all, but I do ask that you post something awesome. So let's begin!

I like the title. It reminds me of the poem "Night thought of a tortoise suffering from insomnia on a lawn." (The world is very flat. / There is no doubt of that.) It takes longer to read the title than to look at the subject matter.

well it's an impressive painting. I honestly couldn't tell, though there did seem to be something wrong with the facet.
