All members of my robotics team have been requested to create models for our animation this year. Since I'm on the team and I'm too cheap to buy 3DSMax and too lazy to learn Blender, I chose to use Google SketchUp. I am making robots, and here I provide two days of labor still incompleted:
It will look presentable one day, I promise. _________________ "Everyone has 200,000 bad drawings in them, the sooner you get them out the better."

I haven't done much with my robot because someone found out I was doing 3d work and got me to start using Blender, which as anyone who has or even hasn't used it knows is a pain in the ass to learn. It wasn't a total loss, and in fact yeilded this penguin:

I couldn't even get past the "Make-a-stick-person-step" with Blender. Couldn't get the extrusion, or whatchamacallit, to work.
[edit]:What is stove-robot supposed to do?
That's a nice penguin by the way. |

Oh, I haven't gotten back to this yet. Too many distractions dammit. Oh, the robot will be a witch doctor charicature if I ever finish it. _________________ "Everyone has 200,000 bad drawings in them, the sooner you get them out the better."
