Ok, for those of you who've listened to the preview of plight, I humbly ask you to rip it apart. _________________ SACRE BLEU!

Sorry, I intended to listen to this, but forgot about it.
00:26 - 00:41 I think the melody should be stronger. I suggest that you use something other than brasssynth. It's getting lost in everything else.
About 2:30 to 3:03 I think that pad could be a little louder. The pedal tone is really driving it IMO, and I think that it should have a bit more presence.
In that section as well, this is really a personal preference, but have you thought about switching between harp and piano? It sounds to me as if they are playing unison most of the time.
5:36 - 5:45 Nice touch with the brasssynth. It's a better accompaniment than melody holder.
About 6:30 - 6:45 I think that trumpet line could be a bit louder. I know it's not the focus, but by not being soft enough, it actually doesn't have a chance to meld, and so it draws more attention that you want anyway.
7:46 Again I think that it would be wiser to use brasssynth with something from the actually brass family. It's a very placid sound, and doesn't really demand attention unless it is surrounded by very little.
9:50 At least on my computer, those bells are evil. They aren't anywhere close to the pitch. I'm not sure if that's what you wanted to go for, but if so, I suggest that you try to find some more sympathetic tones for it to ring on. _________________ Calehay |
