Fricken sweet. I love the background sounds at the start. That caught my interest right away. Nice bell, and the people talking is amazingly clear. Big grin

What I like best overall is the change in contrast. It goes from a soft guitar to screaming and to a soft piano, and so on.
Not much else to say. It's that good old, classic George Powel flavor. Happy
Nice work!

Updated! Added 3 more tracks.

"Died to Live On"'s lyrics were written by a co-worker of mine (named Kayla Bowling).

Just check the updated link.

Are you still synthesizing all this stuff? You should get yourself a band. I think this would sound a jillion times better with live musicians (not to say it sounds bad now or anything).

I like that you're messing around with vocal harmonies. Those always add a lot, if you ask me. That said, your vocals just sound a little weak paired with the music. The screaming sounds great, but you sound hesitant when you're singing. Fuckin' belt it out, man! I feel like the vocals are the focal point of the tunes, and they need to be strong as hell.

As an aside, what are you planning on doing with these tunes, other than showing them off to CP folk?

I'm talking to a friend of mine who's pushing me to make plans with him. He really wants to get this stuff going. He keeps telling me that he can get a live band, which I don't know how.

What do I plan to do with these songs? Not a damn thing. Raspberry!
I'm just doing all this for practice sake.

And my problem with belting it out is this: My brother who works overnights at Wal-Mart is always sleeping in the next room, and I get hell if I wake him up. Sad...

The next song is finished. I had to upload it elsewhere because CP's hosting thing is taking forever and a day to upload the song. I know it does take a while, but in comparison to the time it would normally take, it was taking way too long for a song that size.

So, it's up on my MySpace.
