The isometric character contest inspired me to draw some isometric tilesets, in addition to another iso character:
anyway, I wanted to collaborate (I think thats a word) and make an iso game with someone. I'd do graphics, and other things thatd be decided later.
That person would hopefully do scripting (or most of it...I cant script well) and, again, other things decided later.
NOTE: I do not know anything about the game so far..It will all be decided if I get someone's help.
I realize some of you will try and flame me, say crap like 'MAKE YOUR OWN GAME LOLOL FOOOL POOOOOP'or somthin....so yeah...dont do that.
If you dont wanna help, just dont reply. If no one replies I will make the game myself so yeah. _________________ I got it all...most. |

I'm actually doing something similar. What I find is that it takes a lot more tiles to do stuff in isometric than non-isometric. Therefore, probably only a part of my game will be like that. This is actually more of a side-project, though, since I really need to work on stuff that I promised others. |

Funny, but I'm already working on an isometric game. It's not on the OHR, though. |

I think I'll help you on this. Please be aware that I cannot do graphics and the like, but I can do some plotscripting, and will happily write out the dialouge for everyone. I might not be able to help you though; it all depends on certain things going certain ways, dealing with financial problems, things like that. My dad's been out of work for a while, so we might just lose everything. However, that's a worst case scenario. In any case, I am willing to help you, and I think it would be best to get one more person on board as well. |

Alright, thanks.
I hope your dad gets a job and it all turns out well.
I'll email you then...

I've got a few things to say...
1) Did you ever play the "Godforsaken" old version of Neo Krysta III? With it's total crappiness, it began as an isometric RPG.
2) I will be more than willing to write music for it if you would like. If you don't know what kind of stuff I do, just check out the Sountrax on the gamelist. E-mail me at:
Setu_the_Dragonslayer@otakumail.com
if you're interested. Also, if you e-mail me, tell me what kind of mood you are trying to set your game in. That will drastically determine what kind of music I should write for you.
3) There's no harm in asking people to cooperate. Shoot! I do it a lot. It's more interesting when people in the same online community team up on projects. It makes things a little more interesting. _________________

OK, I took a look at the plotscript file, and I think I might be able to fix the slight problem mention therein. I do have a story idea, which was going to be for my own game, but I don't want to suggest it until I take a look at the graphics you've made. I probably would be able to change the idea to fit the already made graphics, but I still would like to see the RPG file before suggesting anything. And it's nice to know that Setu is doing the music; that'll make it great in the music area at least. |

The graphics right now are basic land things (grass, raised grass, water) And thecastle graphic things, which have been updated to look less shiny and more...dithery and stuff. They also have shading now, instead of 2 highlights, I'll post screens in a minute.
EDIT:
(These rnt good screens...damn jpegy thing fucked it up. _________________ I got it all...most. |

OK, that's all I needed to know. I can work my mine story idea around that quite easily. Just give me a day or so to put it together, and then you'll see it. |

OK, I have the basic idea down. Here it is: Basically, an average teenager, along with a couple of his friends, are quietly hanging out at his house when suddenly, they are swept into something beyond their imagination. They'll meet up with various characters who have also been displaced from their own time, world, and universe as they make their way across time, space, and dimension, trying to find their way home. I've already talked with Setu about some of the music. How does this idea sound? If it's approved, I think I could have the first scene written in a few days; I'll have to come up with names, personalities, and descriptions first. |
