Here's something I drew several weeks ago. I don't quite remember what caused me to do this, but I know that it involved 1:00 AM and a couple of Medieval Arms and Armor books.
Guardian Joseph
His legs don't look quite right, but I love the sword.
He must have some gnarly muscles... |

Well, the pose does seem rather tilted. That's probably the cause of the leg problem, or the legs are probably the cause of the 45 degree tilt. To fix yer leg problem, see if you can't bend the shorter leg out, so the pose looks more natural. Either that, or make that leg longer, so he stand's straighter. Of course, the latter would require that you erase both legs to make the adjustment, unless you can find an alternative way to make the adjustment.
Other than that, I have to agree with you on your standing on the sword. Awesome details on the pommel/hilt area. The shoulder armor is ornate and lookin' boss too.
Great job with the character, man. _________________ Planning Project Blood Summons, an MMORPG which will incinerate all of the others with it's sheer brilliance...

You're right. I tried to have his hips at an angle because of the weight distribution, but it's not reflected in the finished drawing.
Thanks; I'm going to work on this guy some more. |
