As much as I love the OHR, I think I'm not going to be using it anymore. First off, I'm a little sick of the limitations and second off, I don't even really want to make RPGs. Thirdly, I don't even have a PC any more and thus can't even run it without jumping through hoops. So, if you're a clever person, you can guess by the subject line where this is heading.
Has anyone here used Flash for game design? I'd like to get into that, but I only really have experience with webpage design in it. Do you have any tips for me or any resources I can check out? Thanks in advance. _________________ You got film in my video game!

I use Flash, but only for movies and the like. The extent of my Flash game programing experience was a little top-down view game with a little car that you could drive around. Amusing, but pointless. However, I'm sure there are tutorials and the like on the 'net. _________________ I stand corrected. No rivers ran blood today. At least, none that were caused by us.

I made a tiny game. Guess the Number
Basically, it picks a number (0-10) at random. You type a number into the field, click "guess" and it will say "Too high" "Too low" or "You got it!" Pretty fun, eh? Hit reset after you get it to play again.
I'm just starting to learn, and I think I did a lot of damage in just one day. I'm also working on a virtual house walkthrough for our relatives when we go to California, but that more tedious than difficult.
I'm ultimatly aiming to make an Interactive Fiction (aka Text Adventure) game in the same vein as Thy Dungeonman II. _________________ You got film in my video game!

shooters are pretty easy to make, and if you put in a little effort, you can make them pretty fun. _________________ SACRE BLEU!

Hay guyz
I'm using a book called Macromedia Flash MX 2004 Game Development and I just finished the first tutorial. It's probably not too impressive to you that I followed along with a book and made a game, but I figured there's too few games on this site anyway, and I might as well share it with you. The most important learning thing is that I think I understand all of this, so the books doing some good.
But I DID program the reset game system by myself, which was more complicated than I expected.
High Score: 35. 44 BEAT ME _________________ You got film in my video game!

I got 35 on my first try. I'm sure I could beat your score if I cared enough about whacking capsules. _________________
