Well, you can already launch a game directly in Windows, by renaming GAME.EXE. :\ _________________

Ancestors in Valhalla...
Are you serious? Once it's complete, show your results to James Paige, he MIGHT incorporate it, or use it as part of "hamsterwheel". If the OHR could be converted to a windows based system... (shudder) |

Nah, I doubt James would incorporate it into the OHR. For one, he appears to not want any help from anyone else when it comes to the OHR, which is understandable. He's said it himself, it is his project, and he doesn't want to give out the source code for it.
The same can be said about Hamster Wheel. It's a long ways down the road, but I'm sure he'll want to do it all on his own like he did with the OHR. I know programming...I'd feel the same. I wouldn't want a bunch of people bogging me down with their ideas, when I'm perfectly capable of doing it myself.
And anyways, he's doing it in Visual Basic. James would make Hamster Wheel in C++, I'm sure of it. I'd GREATLY prefer C++ to Visual Basic any day. When I used Visual basic for a couple weeks in programming class, I felt like I was cheating. Visual Basic isn't proramming...It's scripting for Windows, like plotscripts are for OHR games. It just sucks . |

i agree with cube vb is on some level plotscripting with ohr but it can be very very useful... Because if you no the language you can do anything even create games (i no cause i have done it, although it was ugly)... _________________ -----------------------------
