I should point out that "Cabbage Acres" is a spoofy game which is meant to be fairly funny.

Cabbage - a young and heroic vegetable - wakes up one morning to find an email on his computer. "Dear Cabbage, the world is in danger, only you can save us...from King Norby." Cabbage decides to go visit King Norby and find out what all the fuss is about.

This is a quest of love, destiny, and bad jokes. Cabbage, accompanied by his loyal friends, Fairy, Stan, and Captain Hero, must save the world from the obese hands of Lord Hamburger and his army of Random Monsters.

If you guys want, I'll post a much more detailed storyline, but I just wanted to see what people though of the general synopsis. Thanks!

Sounds pretty crazy, but it definetely needs more details. Even if this is a spoof game, it needs to make some sort of sense. Why is cabbage in particular chosen? Why does Lord Hamburger want to take over the world? What's King Norby king of?

Lord Hamburger wants to take over the world with his chain of fast food restaraunts and doom the world to obesity.
Norby is the King of the World. He is a good friend of Cabbage's and he watches over everything. He might actually be magical.
My website is called Cabbage Acres so we thought we'd make a game about the characters from it. Cabbage is actually the only Cabbage in the world, everyone else mostly human.

The story goes that Cabbage leaves home, goes to Salad Town and meets Fairy. The road to the palace is blocked, so they go to the Crimson Castle to see Norby's Warlords.
They unblock the road and meet up with Stan the Ninja Dwarf. He's fallen out with his lover, Bob, because Lord Hamburger blew up their caravan. Stan joins the team and they head to Hukre City.
There, they meet Captain Hero, the world's most usless superhero. He joins them, in a desperate attempt to prove himself...

That's as far as I've got with plot at the moment. I have a vague idea of where I am going with this. There are obviously gonna be witty jokes thrown in along the way and many many dungeons. Hope this gives you a slightly better idea of the game! Razz

Wow, I havn't seen this much formulaic forced "zanyness" since Spongebob Squarepants.

In so many words, I would rather slit my wrists and drink my own blood until I throw up.

Seems to me you're trying a bit too hard to be funny, which is the general problem with funny games: They try fart o hard.

I like what you have for your layout so far, actually. The theme of fighting obesity is interesting. Do each of the side kicks of Cabbage represent different diets, or what?

Thanks for all your comments so far everybody. Leroy, i never thought about making the sidekicks represent diets, but i like that idea! Maybe Stan's surname could be "Atkins..."

Ever think that this one game would actually make more sence if you were fighting blobs of fat? Just wondering.

PS: Bad guy attack idea -> Supersize (raise bad guy's attack)
