OK, I'm in the place you go just after the Blue Spirit goes into the vortex created by the five crystals. I get to the third room, and take about three or four steps forward before it claims some kind of error occurred and it needs to manuely reboot the file. Then it erases my saved game files and reloads at the intro screen. Fortunately, I had saved a copy of the files in a different directory. I would like to know why this error occurs, and how to get around it. The version I have is the one on the CP game list. Thank you if you help me. Oookay...

BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Oh, I'm sorry...I just had to laugh hard at that one. But yeah, that almost threw me too.

The "error" you speak of near the end is fake, and is part of the game. If you've been bluescreened many, many times (like me), you should be able to realize that the blue-screen-of-death is fake (it uses the wrong font and stuff).

But man, that's funny. Anyway, it didn't really do that or anything, it's part of the game, so keep going after that.

This thread should win the 'funniest thread' award. Big grin

You can't do anything about it.
Your saves are gone forever.

*Holds in laughter*

HA! HA! HA!

... Eh...

I'm not pickin' on ya or anything... I fell for it, too.

Um, no, it wasn't. The save files were erased, although I did have a copy, and it returned me to the new game/load game screen, and started a new game! I did notice it used the wrong font, but I doubt that it is part of the game, since it apparently didn't work the way you guys are saying it did. I'm just glad I copied my save files.
Then again, I did close the game a few seconds after trying to see whether it would load the saved game. The thing is, it showed all four spots blank, when I had all four filled, so if it is part of the game, I don't know how PHC did it. I'll try again tomorrow after school to see whether that's actually true or whether it's not true in my case.
And please don't make fun of me. Oookay...

Yeah, you're right. I played it through and beat the game the next day. I would have said this a long time ago too, but the stupid server was down. Pissed off!

Anyway, I do have one question: How did you do that? How did you make it so that it would appear to do what it did?

Oh. Well, it was very convincing. And I see the reason you did it, although there might have been a slightly better way of doing it without scaring the hell out of the player, but I can't think of it right now. It was certainly one of the best OHRRPGCE games I've played yet, and I hope to see more games in the future. Mayhap a Walthros sequel?

Wasn't there a Walthros Side Quest: Mercenaries game, or something to that effect...?

There is, but that's actually a prequel, as opposed to a sequel.

Bah, same thing. It's a Walthros game. I just don't remember it very well... It didn't have much more than characters and test battles, assuming I remember that correctly.

Well, yeah, it could be looked at that way. That's pretty much all there is to it, but I was still asking whether he was going to make a sequel too. He probably won't, but there's no harm in asking, right? Oookay...
