Welcome to the tenth annual 48 hour contest!

What
The 48hr contest is a contest which requires the contestants to make games within the alotted 48 hours! But it's not just any game, it's a game that must follow the specifications that i decide!

When
The weekend of the 30th-31st. Starting on the beginning of the 30th, to the very end of 31st. Simply put, the whole weekend is the time limit. Important: Time is in EST, or Eastern Time GMT-5:00.

Who
This year, there will be no pre-registration (it's pretty pointless, and people will still submit even if the register). So if you want to, you can back out without hesitation (but why would you want to?). So anyone can submit an entry whenever they want!

How
Rules are pretty standard.
-On the start of the contest, a .rpg file will be uploaded for the use of the games. This file MUST BE USED.
-The theme, or specifications, of the game will also be revealed during this time. The game must follow the theme and/or specifications or it will result in disqualification
-You have 48 hours to make a game. It does not have to be complete, just made within the time limit. Late entries will have their points depending on how late they are
-On the following weekend, everyone will get a chance to vote on their top 3 picks, and ultimately determine a winner.

Prize
The prize is fanart of any one of your own characters drawn by me (and i'll put effort in it... really). Sorry that i cant provide a cooler prize, but i'm poor, and that's about all i can do.

So let's have a great contest this year~!

I'll take bets on how many games from this contest will make it into the top 30.

And I'll try to free myself that weekend. It'll be the first RPG by Joe Man ever released (aside from Joe Man).

A-and as usual, we're allowed to shift our 48-hours to Thursday and Friday if we're going to be busy over the weekend, yes?

Yay, I've been looking forward to this. Time is funny, as there is a planet between me and most CPers. Can we shift the 48 hours?

Is this contest allowing entries that are not made with the OHRRPGCE??

FYI, Leroy:

That would defeat the purpose of the contest if i allowed other engines/programs/gamemakers (seeing as how this place is a forum for the OHR). The OHR has it's own limitations, and by allowing entries made by other programs, they would be breaking the OHR limitations, thus giving them the upper hand. And, also, as i said, this is an OHR discussion forum, afterall.

Sigh... before i repeat myself (or anyone else repeats what i say), this section of the forum is the OHR General Discussion Forum. That does not mean you can assume this is open for any other type of engine; it's posted in this specific section for a reason. Really now, why would i post a RM2k/Gamemaker/Sphere/whateverwhatchamajiggies on the ohr section of the forum.

So for the last time, OHR only. (sorry for sounding bitchy)

As per usual, I'll decide whether or not I will enter on the moment, depending on the theme, and whether I feel like it :/
