I'm getting home internet very soon (so excited about this) and I was thinking of reviewing games.

1) Should I review games that have no review, but the general consensius(Incorrectly spelled) of the community is that this game is bad?
2) Are there certain games that I can't review?

This and any other tips will be quite helpful.

Just play any game and if you think its average score is wrong, review it.

I wouldn't bother reviewing any obviously bad, ten-minute newbie game. Reviews of such games are pointless. You're not helping me decide what to download by telling me that you'd rate Adventures of Billy the Gnome an F-. Save your reviews for games that a lot of people have downloaded, or that have had a lot of buzz about, or, like JSH357 says, that have a rating you don't agree with.

You can review any game you feel like. Generally it's better to review games that have few/no reviews or that, like JSH said, have an average grade you disagree with. If a game has an A average and you give it an A and offer no new information, it doesn't do anyone any good (except honing your review skills, but for that the review doesn't really need to be posted).

A tip: Whenever I play a game with the intention of reviewing it, the game seems more fun than it otherwise would be. I'm not sure if this happens to anyone else, but if it does, try not to let this influence you into giving games a higher grade than they deserve (that'd be my first review, I'm afraid).

Also, any game is up for review unless the author specifically forbids it in the description.
