I just did some town maptiles and I felt like putting them up for comment (I admit, it's partly so people don't think that abomination I have on the gamelist is the best I can do). You're welcome to comment on the sprite too, but you only see one frame of it and I'm mostly looking for comments/critiques on the maptiles anway.

I know there aren't any details like bushes, trees, water, NPCs, or other stuff like that. I wanted to get comments on this stuff before I went on to the other stuff. And don't ask about the game or story or any of that, that stuff doesn't really exist too much yet. Right now this is just graphics.

When I add some more details or fix any errors that people may find I'll probably post an update here. Well for now, enjoy!

Hey! Those are some really darn good traditional type GFX. Is this for a game or just practice?

EDIT: Note to self, read the whole message next time.

Thanks, and they may be for a game someday. I have various ideas and stuff but whether or not any game will ever be produced from them is unknown.

It looks like a million different games, but no one in particular. I guess that's good, as long as you're aiming for traditional, like RS said. In any event, they look very nice.

Nyes. I enjoy the graphic style. The stones in the building are very detailed. The roof could use a light side dark side sort of thing. Also, the grass reminds me of Zelda, but I am a freak... So. Rolling Eyes
Those are exceptable. Like you said, a few tiles to break up the monotony and you're set.

Your tilese and sprite look really good, but the dirt should have a fourth darker brown to give it more depth. i noticed u only had thre when it looked a little flat and i zoomed in on it. other than that though it's pritty nice.

I know this has a little more detail in it, but i think id demonstaits the dirt point well.

Everything looks beautiful except the dirt. I think it looks like brown rocks, and you can tell its tiled. (If it is rocks, its good, lol)

I'm on the wrong computer to give an example of the dirt I like, and I suck with words, so I'll edit this in a little.

Great job on the house. And the NPC looks really well done.

It looks very good, you show some potentcial there...

A comment? Okay I think you should at least use shadows. It helps quite a bit I think.

And use different tiles for the walls not just some repeditive tile.(It gets kinda boring aftera while)

Yes and also what lethal said about the dirt...

That looks pretty great, Iblis. The only thing that surprises me is that with skill like this, I don't see you coming out with games that often.

That looks very nice.(Dirt aside) If you do use these graphics in a game, I'll probably be one of the first to download it. Big grin
