you should be able to download the games unless the server's being anal. |

Its a good sign.
We may be getting more visitors.

Ps: Welcome to CP. You might feel right at home. Don't forget we are on the internet. Watch out for flame wars and shit storms. Chill, lay back, and do like I didn't do (and should have); learn the etiquette before getting too involved in the forums. Those are my misguided words of wisdom.

My advice- if you're going to be involved, look at the topic before posting...
Oh, and if you want to upload a game, the upload button is the last thing in the 'add a game' sequence. i.e. it's another page. Downloading shouldn't be a problem, unless, as JSH357 said, the server's being anal. _________________ A broken clock is still right twice a day. |

Alright... The general lowdown here is... "RPG Toolkit", as I think I've seen it before, does have "more capabilities", but you'll likely find a much larger (and more loyal) user base here. And better thought out games. When you can't use "the best graphics and sound", people turn to making a game that's enjoyable for entirely other reasons: storyline, plot, character development, and the like.
I have yet to see an RPG Toolkit game as impressive as, for example, Final Fantasy H.
Now, I understand your frustration using OHR. Right now, as a Linux user, I can't use it either. However, all of that is changing. OHR has gone open-source, and there is going to soon be support for a Windows version, a Linux version, Macintosh, etc... In fact, probably more than one of each.
Stay tuned for more information, or read all about it in one of the other forums (just look for my posts, you'll see what I'm talking about).

RPG Toolkit is the buggiest piece of garbage I've ever attempted to use.
What exactly is the issue running the OHR? Tell us some specifics and we'll try to help. |

DOSBOX doesn't appear to support it in Linux (at least, in my flavor), wine won't touch it either. In XP Pro, the system complains about not being to find enough memory for the application (if I remember correctly). I can configure the memory any way I want, but it often doesn't run. At one point, I got it to run, but I had no music. Finally, I aborted the project in favor of simply running it on my other computer (which has 98SE).
Thanks for the offer though. You might try and help out the other guys though, since the next time I run OHR, it'll be my own "branded" port of OHR, and it'll be for Linux.
